Chapter 25: Killed By Love

“What, what exactly do you mean?” I asked as calmly as I could.
“October! What are you doing here?” my dad asked
“I’m here with Elizabeth working on our article and I was just putting some books back in their place when I came across your voices” I said trying really hard to sound calm
“how long were you listening?” Joey asked
“oh just at the part when my dad thanked you for sleeping with me and how much he trusts you and not Eric” I answered
“sweet heart let me explain!” my dad started
“fuck you! I knew there was something going on since you were being too nice and here I thought you were only acting like that because of your new girlfriend!” I yelled
“October can we just explain?!” Joey asked
“fuck off! We’re fucking over!” I yelled as I threw the book I had with me at his head
“October!” my dad yelled as I just ignored him and quickly walked away from them.
“October! Wait! Please! Can’t we talk about it?” Joey yelled as he ran after me
“no Joey so leave me alone! And don’t fucking follow me!” I yelled pushing him away from me and then quickly ran away. I didn’t know where to go and I just wanted to get away, so then I ran outside onto the dock of the ship crying as I finally gave up running and so I just collapsed on the floor and cried. I’ve never felt like this, I’ve never felt heartbroken before, and it really made me feel like shit. I didn’t know what to do and I needed someone to talk to so I took my phone out and dialed Wednesday’s number
“hello?” I heard him say
“hey Wends, you busy?” I asked sniffling
“no—October are you alright?"
“Wends…” I started as I felt tears streaming down my face,
“I’m sorry I called its just I really need to talk to someone” I cried
“hun its ok—where are you?!”
“I’m outside at the dock”
“alright I’m on my way!”
“ok but please don’t tell Joey or my dad”
“ok i won't, bye”
“bye” I said as I hung up. Then I waited for what seemed forever, as I kept crying still on the floor and getting weird looks from people that passed, even though there wasn’t that much people around since they were probably at the clubs.
“October!” I heard Wednesday say as he was running to me
“oh my god are you alright sweetheart!” I heard Twiggy’s voice as he pulled me into a hug
“does my dad know I’m here?” I asked
“no, Twiggy heard our conversation and he wanted to come along” Wednesday said
“what happened? Why are you over here crying on the ground?” Twiggy asked concerned as he helped stand up
"Wait did you have anything to do with this?!" I asked Twiggy
"anything to do with what?! What is it October?!"
“my dad and Joey” was all I said before I broke down and cried on Twiggy’s arms. He helped me walk over to a where a table was and sat me on one of the chairs as he sat next me while Wednesday did the same.

“what did they do?” Twiggy asked
“did you know?” I asked
“know what?”
“what my dad and Joey were doing behind my back”
“no! what did they do?”
“they set me up! My dad and Joey planned the whole thing!”
“hun what are you talking about?!”
“MY DAD MADE JOEY BE MY BOYFRIEND!”
“what?!”
“I heard the whole thing! My dad didn’t trust Eric with me or with another guy, and he made Joey trick me into become my boyfriend just to look after me and to sleep with me!”
“your…dad?...but why?”
“Joey?! Joey did this?!” Wednesday asked surprised
“I don’t know why they would do that?! Especially my own father!” I said crying into Twiggy’s arms while he tried to calm me down
“I can’t believe Joey would something like that! I feel like an ass for believing him”
“I don’t know what to do—or where I’m gonna spend the night at! I can’t go back to my suite cuz Joey is there, I can’t go to Acey’s suite cuz that’s the first place they’ll look for me and I can’t go to my dad’s suite cuz of course hes there!” I cried
“babe you’re forgetting one thing, I live in Acey’s suite—you can spend the night with me and I’ll make sure that your dad or Joey don’t get to see you till you say so” Twiggy assured me.
“yea and I won’t say a word about it!” Wednesday said
“thanks” I said trying to calm down. Then we heard someone yelling my name
“shit its Joey!” Wednesday said quietly so that we only heard
“Wednesday you distract him while I get October out of here!” Twiggy said helping me up
“alright then—run!” Wednesday said as we both ran away

Wednesdays POV:

I stayed while I saw October and Twiggy run off and then soon I came face to face with Joey.
“Wends! Oh thank god! Have you seen October?!” he asked out of breath
“Joey…why?” I asked
“why what?”
“why did you do it?”
“do what?!”
“how could you fucking do that to October?!!”
“so you saw her!—where is she?!”
“I’m not fucking telling you! She doesn’t want to see you ok!”
“Wends c’mon! you know I wouldn’t hurt her!”
“yea that’s what I thought until I saw her crying here on the fucking ground because of you!”
“she was?!”
“yes Joey! First it was Eric and now you?! And out of all the guys shes dated you’ve got to be the worst!”
“can I at least explain?!”
“fuck you!” I said punching him on the face as he fell to the ground. He didn’t move after that he just stared up at the sky
“ok…I probably dissevered that” he said quietly
“you’re damn right you did!” I said harshly
“I’m sorry…I know how much you care about her” he said almost in a whisper but I could still hear him
“of course I care about her! Shes like my sister! And she’ll always be my sister and I’ll always be there for her! I was there for her when her past boyfriends were assholes to her and I was there when things didn’t work out between her and Eric—and I was also there for HER when YOU fucking broke her heart!” I yelled
“look—I’m sorry! Ok…I’m sorry! I care about her too and I would never fucking hurt her!”
“well you fucking did!”
“can I just have one chance to explain?” he said sitting up and looked at me straight in the eye and I could tell that he was going to break down. I didn’t know what to say, and before I could say anything my phone rang I sighed
“hold that thought” I said taking my phone out and turned away from him and answered it
“hello?”
“Wednesday! Its Elizabeth! Have you seen October?! I can’t find her! I just saw her run off” I heard Elizabeth’s worried voice
“yea don’t worry, shes alright”
“good where is she? Is everything alright? Whats going on? Where are you? I’m really fucking confused!”
“babe! Don’t worry, everythings alright I’ll be back at our suite in a bit and I’ll explain everything”
“alright babe—but hurry up!”
“ok bye” I said as I hung up then I looked at Joey and then I sat on a chair
“alright…explain” I said
“what exactly did she tell you?”
“that you and her dad set her up, and you were just using her to get in her pants”
“that’s not true—Brian and I were just trying to make her happy”
“will you just explain already?!”
“first of all me and Manson had nothing to do with Eric and October breaking up—when they broke up, Manson didn’t know what to do about the whole thing, yea he didn’t trust Eric and he didn’t trust me either, but he still trusted me more, he knew I had feelings for October since the first time I saw her so he told me to take a chance and go try to get her to like me, make her happy for once”
“but I thought you’ve never saw or met her?”
“I never met her, but I did see her and I was too nervous to talk to her at the time—and it was at Ozzfest as well”
“so then what was the whole thing about you talking to Manson and saying shit that she ended up hearing?”
“Manson was just thanking me for making October happy again, all he wanted was for her to be happy…hes told me how much he gets pissed off when some asshole would always treat her wrong and he knew that I was probably the right guy for her” he said looking down
“I love her” he said slowly. I didn’t say anything, and then I knew he was telling the truth
“do you know where she is?” he asked
“yes but…I can’t tell you…I promised her I wouldn’t tell you or Manson”
“but I need to talk to her!”
“I know…but she said that when she knew when the time was right, that she would talk to you” I said. He sighed.
“I’m sorry” I said helping him get up
“and I’m sorry for punching you on the face…it’s a habit” I said chuckling and he let out a small smile
“well I have to get back to Elizabeth, shes probably really worried…as for you, I’ll try to see what I can do and convince October to talk to you and Manson…I actually believe you” I said patting him on the back
“thanks man!” he said giving me a bigger smile.

Octobers POV:

We finally made it to Twiggy’s suite and it was practically empty.
“everyone left to the club” he said closing the door
“you need anything?” he asked
“no I’m ok” I answered sighing
“I think I’m gonna go take a shower” I said looking at myself
“sure go ahead the bathrooms right over there, and let me just go get you some clean clothes for you to change to afterwards” he said going to his room to get some clothes. So then I went to the bathroom and sat on the toilet seat and then he came back and handed me his clean boxers and a Slayer t-shirt.
“thanks” I said with a smile
“no prob” he said returning the smile and then gave me a kiss on my head before giving me some privacy.
