ethan trudged into his house with grayson in tow. after a long 8 months on tour he was finally back home and ready to relax. he had the most amazing time, no doubt about that, but he missed his family and his girlfriend, alyssa.
ethan and alyssa had been dating for about 11 months, so 3 months into their relationship he broke the news that he'd be going away for tour. it took a toll on the both of them because it was unsual to be apart from each other for that long.
ethan suggested that alyssa join him on tour but she had uni so it wasn't possible. ethan was bummed but he understood. they facetimed almost every day and texted when they couldn't facetime.
"i'm bouta pass out, bro." grayson said exhaustedly, rubbing his eye with his free hand. ethan sighed as he read alyssa's text.
i'm so sorry baby. i won't be able to come over until monday. i love u pls don't be mad
it was friday and all ethan wanted to do was cuddle with and kiss alyssa. he was so overwhelmed he felt like he was about to cry.

grayson walked into his room, closing it behind him which left ethan alone in the living room. he sunk into the couch and leaned his head back, covering his eyes with his arm. he heard moving but assumed it was grayson.
"no hello?" he heard a familiar voice making him shoot up from his seat. his eyes landed on his girlfriend who had a cheeky smile on her face.
"alyssa!" he exclaimed and practically ran towards her, pulling her into a bear hug.
"slow down." she giggled and hugged him back tightly. they fell onto the couch with alyssa on top of him, still in a tight embrace.
"but... you said..."
"i know. i was tryna prank you." alyssa wasn't really that good at pranks so she couldn't keep it going for too long.
"what about school?" ethan questioned with his chin still on alyssa's head as he spoke.
"i finished my last exam yesterday."
"and you didn't tell me?"
"okay well if i told you then there would be no reason for me not to come over. so you would know it was a prank." alyssa said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"oh that's true. i'm just happy you're here." ethan sighed happily as he squeezed her tighter. alyssa smiled into his chest, enjoying his touch after 7 long months.
"i love you." she said suddenly, smiling up at her boyfriend. ethan felt happiness fill up his chest.
"i love you more." he leaned down slightly and their lips finally touched. they kissed for what seemed like forever until they were interrupted.
"i'm literally still at home. like i'm standing right here." grayson's voice called out as he stood behind the couple. ethan rolled his eyes.
"sorry gray." alyssa voice called out. grayson shrugged, not really saying anything else.
"hi by the way." grayson replied making alyssa say the same. he went back to his room allowing the happy couple to continue what they missed out on.
