you and ethan had been dating for 5 months now but kept it low-key. the only people who knew were grayson, ethan's family and your family.
"you think we should tell the fans yet?" ethan asked as he sat down next to you on the couch. you sucked in a breath as you pretended to think about it. ethan's wanted to tell his fans about your relationship for 2 weeks now but you were scared of the hate. you didn't know if you could handle it.
"umm, maybe another time." you said quickly, turning your attention to the tv. ethan huffed as he grabbed the remote and turned off the tv.
"okay, what's with you? why don't you want to tell the fans? give me a proper reason, y/n." ethan demanded, turning his body to you. you looked into his eyes and saw him looking at you with so much love and adoration.
"the hate, ethan. i'm scared of the hate." you replied honestly, looking down at your lap. you felt ethan's large hand rest over yours. you looked up at him.
"babe, don't worry about the hate. if they send any, you'll know it's because they're jealous of you and want to bring you down. i love you and i know the fans will love you too." ethan said, making your heart melt. he always knew what to say. "but i want to tell people about us. i don't want to hide it anymore."
"okay." you said simply, smiling as ethan's eyes lit up.
"okay... as in we can tell the fans?" ethan said as he tried to hide his excitement. you nodded, a grin rising on your face when ethan hurriedly takes out his phone. after a few minutes, you hear a ding coming from your phone and you see that ethan tweeted something. you smiled when you saw it, retweeting it and favouriting it instantly.
