you huffed angrily as you walked down the stairs, seeing a trail of crumbs. you knew it was ethan, seeing as he's the only one in the house who eats a lot. right now, he was playing video games with grayson and their friend, jake. you could hear their loud cheering and it already gave you an instant headache.

you had just finished cleaning up ethan's mess in your shared room and you cleaned up his stuff in the bathroom. you put his dirty clothes in the laundry and were constantly cleaning up after him. you walked into the living room, the sight nearly making you faint.

grayson and jake sat at the end of the couch with controllers in their hands. ethan was sat alone closest to you. the mess on him and around him was unbelievable. he had chocolate wrappers scattered on the floor and coffee table. there was chips all over his shirt and the couch. he was laying lazily on the couch, his leg hanging over the side.

"ethan, what the fuck!" you yelled while stepping into the room. ethan's head shot up and he sent you a smile.

"hey, babe. i'm just playing games with the boys. what's up?" he said nonchalantly, turning back to his game. you gaped at him. grayson and jake noticed you were pissed and decided to leave the room.

"what's up? look at this mess!" you cried, flinging your arms around. ethan raised a brow and looked around him.

"you're overreacting, babe. it's not that big of a deal. i'll clean it up." he replied, now sitting up and facing you. you stood in front of him with your hands on your hips.

"that's the thing. you won't clean it up. i'll clean it up. that's the way it works in this house. you make the biggest mess ever and i'm always cleaning up after you. all the freaking time. i'm sick of it. you need to grow up, ethan. i'm can't always act like your mum and clean up your mess." you said, throwing yourself on the couch and covering your eyes with your arm. the room was silent. you felt the couch dip next to you and you slowly turned your head to see ethab giving you a guilty smile.

"i'm sorry. i didn't know you felt that way. you know you could've just told me." ethan said, sending you a look. you rolled your eyes.

"i know but i didn't want you to think i'm uptight and take everything seriously. i don't mind cleaning up after you but for me to do it every single time? it doesn't work for me. you gotta understand." you explained. ethan nodded instantly.

"i get it, babe. don't feel bad anymore. next time just tell me when something bothers you." ethan said as he kissed your forehead. he stood up and began to clean up the mess.
