"y/n, hurry up!" grayson exclaimed from downstairs. he was already dressed and was waiting on you. you insisted that you guys go out for breakfast today since all you've been eating is cereal.

"coming!" you replied, quickly pulling on your white nike sneakers. you reached the top of the stairs but stopped abruptly when you heard your name. ethan and grayson were talking quietly but not quiet enough. ethan wasn't going out with you and grayson.

"dude, y/n never leaves me alone. i'm getting sick of it." grayson whispered harshly and let out a long sigh. ethan said nothing. "she just won't give me space to breathe."

you were shocked. he'd never said any of this to your face.

"i hate clingy bitches." grayson continued, both him and ethan laughing loudly. you swallowed harshly, pulling out your phone to message your best friend.

y/n- wanna go out to breakfast with me?

she replied within seconds, agreeing and telling you to pick her up in 10 minutes.

you sucked in a deep breath and walked downstairs.

"sorry, gray. change of plans. y/bff/n wants to go out." you said. grayson raised his brow at you.

"oh... okay." he said slowly, taking off his sneakers. he leaned forward to kiss you but you turned your head which resulted in his lips landing on your cheek. you quickly grabbed your keys off the counter and hurriedly left, leaving grayson confused and dumbfounded.

"what movie should we watch..." geayson slowly stopped talking when he saw you dressed up. "w-where are you going?"

"out." you said abruptly, grabbing your purse from the counter and putting your phone in it.

"but we were supposed to have a movie night." grayson said softly, throwing the remote onto the couch in front of him.

"maybe another time. don't wait up for me." you said as you slammed the door close. grayson sat on the couch sadly, watching a movie. alone.

"a-again?" grayson asked quietly as he walked out of the kitchen, seeing you dressed up yet again. you nodded and pursed your lips. he sighed heavily and leaned forward, trying to kiss your lips or cheeks or anything. you hadn't kissed him or hugged him in 6 days and it was killing you as much as it was killing him.

"sorry. the girls love to party." you said as you dodged his lips again. he scratched the back of his neck as you opened the front door to leave.

"y-you look beautiful." he said but you were already gone.

"we seriously need to talk." was the first thing grayson said to you when you came home from a day out with your friends.

"about what?" you played dumb and joined grayson on the couch. he sighed and rubbed his face and ran his fingers through his hair.

"what did i do? did i do something that makes you not want to be around me anymore? tell me because it's driving me crazy." grayson exclaimed with a deep sigh. "i haven't kissed you or hugged you in 2 weeks, y/n."

"remember when we were supposed to go out for breakfast but i said y/bff/n and i had plans? what sort of conversation did you and ethan have while i was getting changed?" you asked as you leaned back in your seat. grayson was silent as he racked through his mind trying to remember. after a few seconds, his eyes widened and his head instantly lowered. "yeah, do you remember now?"

"y-y/n..." grayson croaked, trying to rest his hand on your thigh but you smacked it away. "i am so sorry. i can't believe i even said any of that crap. i didn't mean any of it."

"really because it kind of sounded like you meant it." you scoffed as you remembered his hurtful words.

"what can i say to make us okay again?" grayson pleaded, now turning his body to fully face you. you finally looked at him. his eyes were red and brimming with tears. he had bags under his eyes, clearly showing how tired he was.

"i don't know if i can ever forget that you said that. you had just gotten back from tour and i wanted to spend a lot of time with you. that's why i was a clingy bitch." you explained, noticing how both you and grayson visibly cringed at the mention of the words 'clingy bitch'.

"i'm sorry. i don't know how but i will make it up to you. just please forgive me." grayson said, holding your hands in his. you looked into his eyes, your face softening.

"one more chance, dolan." you said with a small smile. grayson grinned and instantly wrapped his arms around you, pulling you flush against his chest. you sighed contentedly, almost forgetting how good it felt to be in his arms. when grayson pulled away from the hug, you kissed him and smiled into the kiss when he responded instantly. when you pulled away, you smirked playfully at him. "now who's clingy."

"shut up." grayson smiled, happy that he finally had you back.
