Please
Let the Earth release Her tears
So often we demolish and destroy Her beauty
So little does She ever ask in return
Yet we hate Her cries that ruin only a few hours
While we slowly ebb away at what is Her life
Just imagine what you’d feel
If Her wind decidedly kissed your nose
Then turned and whipped hair tendrils into our mouth
If that icy water were Her unburdening
That lightening Her claws tearing across the sky craving to be free
Her thunderous roar of agony echoing across our souls
Yet we don’t hear
Only watch
Like innocent bystanders while in truth
We are no less guilty than those dangling in the gale
It is not the weight of the world that kills Her
It’s the feeling of lives
Ungrateful at being gifted something
So beautiful as life
