A/n so sorry that this took so long!! To anyone who has commented or sent in a request, please do not think I have forgotten about you! I have written down all the request ideas but writing them and my teen wolf imagines is causing them to take longer than expected. Especially due to the week I took off due to personal events. Sorry again and I hope you enjoy!

I sighed inwardly as I thought about the looks on my families faces, as I said goodbye to them. My fathers eyebrows shot up into his head and my brothers lips trembled along with my mother's tear filled eyes. I had no choice but to leave them, no matter how much the choice hurt. Father suggested I move on to Camelot where Mother knew a court physician who would be more than happy to take me in, and train me in the ways of medicine. I have to admit, the idea of becoming a physician intrigued me greatly.

I turned on the spot, my mind back to the present, as my eyes took in every inch of the marble castle. Each column and brick was beautifully carved, and my hands ached to run along them. I took a step forward, onto the outskirts of Camelot's centre, a deep breath exhaling from my mouth. I continued to walk onwards, as people passed me by going about their daily business. The crowd around me greeted each other as they passed by, smiles not spared for anyone. I walked towards the castle where a guard was standing stone faced looking out at the crowd of people.

"Excuse me," I started once I reached the man dressed in red. He turned to face me, his face cold as stone but his eyes were smiling. "Where will I find the court physician?"

"Turn down here and it will be the first door on the right." I thanked the guard following his directions, my hands on the bag on my back. As I neared the door to the physician quarters, my thoughts wandered. I thought about wether I could handle being on my own and wether I could cope without my family. I stopped dead in my tracks right in front of the door to the physicians quarters. I had to make my decision. I could turn around and go home, knowing that my family will understand, or I could knock on the door, a door that could change my future.  I turn around, fear controlling my actions, when the door behind me opens. I spin around, turning to face a brown haired boy with high cheekbones and a smile that framed his face. He closed the door behind him before stopping in his tracks when he saw me. My heart sped up as his bright orbs met my own, a tingle shooting down my spine.

"Can I help you?" His voice, not unlike his eyes, made my skin tingle.

"I'm looking for Gauis." I stuttered my voice taken away by the brown haired boy.

"He is delivering a round of medicine, can I help you with something?" His voice made my knees go weak, but I was strong willed and I held my ground.

"My name is y/n, I believe my mother contacted Gauis asking for an apprenticeship." I said my eyes avoiding his.

"Oh y/n! Gauis said you were coming next week." I froze, I didn't know how to respond but thankfully he continued to talk. "Knowing Gauis he got the dates mixed up." The boy laughed, a magical sound that my feet wanted to dance to, with a grin that ignited his features. "I am Merlin." He extended his hand towards me and I shook it. Our touching hands fitted perfectly together, almost like they were made to hold the other. I looked at our fingers, how dainty my looked in his, before he released my hand. "I have to go to work, but do you want to come with me until gauis comes back?"

"Sure, let me just put down my bag." I agree. Merlin opens the door, reaching his hand out for my bag. I hand it over to him, our fingers brushing, before I follow him down the corridor. I stop as my fear comes rushing up through my stomach, a nauseating feeling that makes me want to drop everything and run. Merlin seems to notice I'm not following him and stops turning around.

"You coming?" That simple statement, those two words alone, calm every fear molecule inside of me that's shaking and screaming and somehow I smile despite myself. I nod walking onwards as merlin automatically reaches for my hand, gripping it tightly in his. The simple gesture makes me believe that

somehow I know everything is going to be okay.
