Chapter 23: A Cold Night

As I got to the other side of the river, at that. I then did in fact seem to let out quite a bit of a rough sigh. As it was in fact relieved that I had in fact made it to the other side.
I did my best to ignore the noise of the current, at that. As it was that I did in fact begin to get my focus on to the fact that it was. That I heard the voice of Tom go and speak, all at the exact same time too.
"Alright Michael... What's next for us?" He did in fact just seem to say to me. As it was that I saw that he had his eyes wide just as he had said that.
My eyes also did in fact just seem to grow wide, at that. As it was that I was in fact a bit lost as to just what it was that he had said. As it was that I did in fact do my best to try to keep my self as calm as I could.
Just as soon as it was that I had done as such a thing like that. I then did in fact go and shake my head right back at the man. As it was that I also then began to go and speak back to him, all at the exact same time too.
"Not sure to be honest... I thought that the dwarves might know..." I did in fact just seem to say. As it was that I did in fact nod my head on over to the dwarves just as I had said that.
It was clear to me that it had come to a shock to the group. As to the fact that it was that I had said as to just what it was that I had said. As it was that I was quite a bit lost as to just why it was in fact the case.
I seemed to continue to stare at every one with my eyes wide. Until it was that I then began to hear the voice of Frolop, at that. As it was that he then did in fact begin to go and speak, all at the exact same time too.
"Well... I thought that you said you were going to be the one to guide us..." He did in fact just seem to say. As it was that I did in fact see that he had his eyes squinted at me. Just as soon as it was that he had said that, as well.
Just as soon as it was that he had said as to just what he had said. I then also began to start to realize that he was right with what he had said. As I did in fact remember that I had been doing as such a thing.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. That was when it was that I then did in fact just seem to gulp. As it was that I then did in fact begin to simply go and speak back to him, at that.
"Oh... Yeah... Could I see the map maybe, any one?" I did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was that I did in fact look at the dwarves. As well as the fact that I looked at Steve and Bradley, all at once.
Just as soon as it was that I had said as to just what I had said. As if it was that I felt like me seeing a map was going to help us. As if it was that I had a single clue as to just where it was that we were at right now.
That was when it was that I heard the voice of the older dwarf. As it was that I did in fact look at Limbsy just as it was the case. As it was that I did in fact begin to go and listen as to just what it was that he had to say.
"Never mind then... We were going the right way this whole time any ways, at least as far as I can tell... Just keep following us and we will make it to where we need to be..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time as well.
As it was that he did in fact have a very serious look on his face. Just as soon as it was that he had said as to just what it was that he had said. As it was that I did in fact do my best to try to act as calm as I felt like I could.
Just as soon as it was that I had tried to do as such a thing like that. That was when it was that I heard the voice of Prince Pokes. As it was that I then did in fact listen as to just what the goblin had to say, at that.
"Fine with me..." He did in fact just seem to mutter. As it was that he then did in fact begin to start to walk with the dwarves. Just as soon as it was that he had said as such a thing like that, all at once.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. That was when it was that I did in fact do my best to try to keep my self calm. And I then did in fact simply go and nod to my self, all at the exact same time too.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact been the case. That was when it was that I did in fact let out quite a bit of a rough sigh to my self.
Just as soon as it was that I had done as such a thing like that as well. That was when it was that I also began to shake my head just a little bit. As it was that I also then began to go and speak to my self, at that.
"Come on... Where are you now? You said you were going to guide me..." I did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I was in fact a bit worried that the voice had in fact now left me.
He said that he was going to guide me to the correct path. And so far, all that it was that he had said to me was true. As it was that I felt like I did in fact kind of trust the voice.
But now he seemed to be dead silent, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I felt a bit alone for what ever reason, at that. As it was that I all of the sudden began to hear a voice from right beside me, at that.
"What are you talking about Michael? Are you okay?" I did in fact hear Connor say to me, all at once. As it was that he did in fact have his eyes squinted at me, at that.
It was clear that he had in fact heard a bit of what I had just said. As it was that I did in fact just seem to gulp at first, as soon as it was the case. As it was that I did in fact do my best to try to stay as calm as I could.
Just as soon as it was that I continued to be that sort of way, all at once. That was when it was that I did in fact blink my eyes a few times. And I then did in fact begin to start to hear the voice of Dick go and speak, at that.
"Looks like our leader might be going a bit coo coo..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was that he did in fact have a mocking tone of voice just as he had said that.
I felt like I should get a little bit upset as to the fact that it was the case. But I felt like I was a little bit too lost in my head to care at this point. As it was that I did in fact just seem to simply stare at him with my eyes wide.
As it was that I just seemed to do that for some time. That was when it was that I did in fact hear the voice of Aaron go and speak, at that. As it was that I then did in fact begin to listen as to just what he had to say, as well.
"Lean off the kid a bit Dick... I am sure that he is going through a lot right now as it is... He is doing great..." He did in fact just seem to say. As it was that he did in fact look at Dick at first, when he had said that.
But he then did in fact look at me at the end of just what he had said. As it was that I did in fact see that his eyes were in fact quite a bit wide. As it was that he did in fact nod to me to let me know he had his back.
Just as soon as it was that I had seen him do as such a thing like that. I kind of felt like I was simply just going through the motions at this point. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to nod back to him.
It seemed to stay silent for quite a bit of some time, all at once. Until it was that I then began to start to hear the voice of Mitch speak. As it was that I looked at him and I then listened ad to just what he had to say, at that.
"Come on guys... Stop talking and speed up... The dwarves are slower than us, but we are about to lose sight of them..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that he proved a fair point on what he had just said. As it was that I did in fact come to the realization that the dwarves were way ahead of us. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to nod a bit to my self, at that.
Just as soon as it was that I had done as such a thing like that. That was when it was that I suddenly heard the voice in my head. As it finally seemed to come to speak to me, at that.
"You don't have any thing left to do tonight Michael... Relax... You are going to sleep soon, and it is going to be hard for you when that happens..." He did in fact just seem to say to me, all at the exact same time too.
He did in fact just seem to also go and warn me, all of the sudden. As to just what it was that was going to happen in my sleep. As it was that I did in fact just seem to gulp as soon as it was in fact the case.
As it was that I then did in fact look up at the sky, all at once. As though I could not see the sun what so ever, never the less. It was clear to me that the sun was in fact setting, as I could see that it was getting dark.
Just as soon as it was that it had seemed to have been the case. That was when it was that I then knew as to just what it was that I needed to do. As I then did in fact simply go and speak out loud, all of the sudden.
"Alright... Come on every one... We need to be together right now..." I did in fact just seem to say, as it was that I then did in fact go and catch up to Pokes and the dwarves, at that.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. That was when it was that I seemed to feel some what calm about things. Though I still felt like I couldn't help but to be a little bit worried at that.
As to the fact that the voice had said as to just what he had said to me. As it was that I did in fact seem to shiver as I did in fact think on it. As it was that in the end, I then did in fact simply get my mind off of that all.
I then did in fact seem to catch up to the dwarves finally. As it was that I saw the both of them look at me as they did in fact hear my foot steps. As it was that I did in fact begin to start to hear the voice of Limbsy speak to me with a smile on his face.
"Oh... Are you about ready to lead us again Michael?" He did in fact just seem to say to me, at that. As it was that he did in fact just seem to nod to me just as he had said that.
As it was that I had heard as to just what it was that he had said to me, none the less. I then did in fact seem to blink my eyes a few times. As it was that I then did in fact go and shake my head back at him.
It was clear that it had confused the both of the dwarves. As well as the fact that it had kind of worried the goblin, all at once. As it was that I then did in fact finally go and speak back to them, at that.
"No... I think that it is time for us to rest for the night... I can't see any thing at this point, and I don't want to lose sight of the group right now..." I did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too, at that.
As it was that I was tempted to add the fact that it was that I was tired. But it did in fact seem to already be a given to the dwarves. As I could tell that they still wanted to keep going, but their bodies were saying no.
As it was that the both of them did in fact seem to stare back at me. That was when it was that I then did in fact hear the voice of Pokes. As it was that he did in fact go and speak back to me, all at the exact same time too.
"Alright... That will be good I suppose..." He did in fact just seem to say. As it was that I saw him squint his eyes at me just as he had said that. As it seemed like he was still a bit suspicious of me for what ever reason.
I did my best to try to ignore as to the fact as to what was going on. Just as soon as it was that the rest of the group caught up to us. As it was that I did in fact hear the voice of Owen speak just as it seemed to be.
"I can't see shit now..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time as well. As it was that I did in fact hear mutters of agreement from some of the others.
As it was clear to me that I was making the right call. As to the fact that I was doing as to just what I was doing. As it was that I did in fact seem to calm my self down just as soon as it was that it had been the case.
Just as soon as it had seemed to have been that sort of way. That was when it was that I did in fact suddenly hear the voice of my friend Kips. As I then did in fact look at his face, at least what I could see, as I then listened as to just what it was that he had to say, never the less.
"What exactly is going on? Why is it that we have stopped?" He did in fact just seem to say. As it was that he did in fact have his head tilted just as soon as it was that he had said that.
It was quite clear to me that my friend didn't want to stop. As it was that he did in fact seem like he was the only one who wanted to keep going. As it was that I did in fact blink my eyes a few times as it was the case.
Every one seemed to stare at me just as he had said that. As it was in fact the reminder that I was the leader. As it was that I shivered at first, just as soon as it was the case.
As in the end, I then did in fact just seem to nod to my self. As it was that I did in fact do my best to try to wake my self up. Before it was that I then did in fact begin to speak back to Kips, all at once, at that.
"We are stopping here for the night... We can't see any thing at this point, and I know that every one is tired..." I did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time as well.
As it was that I looked at every one just as soon as I had said that. As it was that I had my eyes squinted at all of them, at that. To let them know that what it was that I had in fact just said, was in fact final.
This wasn't a group like Steve's, where he let us vote on the decision. As it was that I then did in fact blink my eyes a few times. As it was that I then did in fact hear the rough voice of Dick go and speak, at that.
"I'm not tired at all... I can keep going..." He did in fact just seem to say. As it was that he looked right at me just as soon as he had said that. As it was clear to me that he was making sure that I had heard what he had said.
How ever, I felt like I could care less about any of that at this point. As it was that I did in fact begin to look away from every one. And I then did in fact begin to start to speak, just as it was that I had done before.
"Alright, every one set up our tents close by each other... I don't want to lose any one during the night..." I did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time as well.
As it seemed like I was in fact getting in to a little bit of a rhythm. As to the fact that I was doing as to just what it was that I was doing. As I did in fact seem to be getting used to all of this, all at the exact same time too.
As soon as it was that I had seemed to have felt that kind of way. I then did in fact just seem to smile, all at the exact same time as well. As it seemed to make me feel calm on the fact that I knew that one day I would in fact be the king, at that.
Just as soon as it was that I had seemed to have felt that kind of way. That was when it was that I got my mind and my focus off of every thing else. As it was that I then did in fact begin to simply just close my eyes and speak to my self quietly.
"I've got this... This is all going to work out just fine..." I did in fact just seem to tell my self. As it was that I did in fact do my best to try to stay as calm as I felt like I could, at that.
Just as soon as it was that I felt some one grab my shoulder. As it was that I did in fact kind of jump just as soon as it was the case at first. As I was a bit lost and a bit scared as to just what was in fact going on.
How ever, as I did in fact just seem to go and open my eyes. I was in fact relieved to see that it was just Kips. As it was that I then did in fact begin to start to hear him speak to me as soon as he saw my eyes were open.
"Alright Michael... You going to help me set up the tent?" He did in fact just seem to say to me, all at the exact same time as well, at that. As he did in fact have quite a bit of a serious look on his face just as he had said that.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case, all at once. That was when it was that I did in fact just seem to calm my self down. And I then did in fact just simply go and blink my eyes a few times, as well.
Just as soon as it was that I had done as such a thing like that. And I had in fact just seemed to have woke my self up a fair bit. That was when it was that I then did in fact nod and go and speak back to him, at that.
"Yeah... I'm here... I did in fact just seem to say to him, all at once. As it was that I did in fact point my head to his bag, all at once. To let him know that I did in fact just simply want to get this all over with, at that.
Just as soon as it was that he had seen me do as such a thing like that. That was when it was that I did in fact see him look at me. As it was that his eyes were very wide just as soon as he had done as such a thing.
But he then did in fact eventually go and blink his eyes a few times. As it was that he then also seemed to go and nod back to me. As it was that he then did in fact drop his bag, and begin to take out the pieces for the tent, all at the exact same time too.
I did in fact do my best to try to keep my self as calm as I could. As it was that I did in fact just seem to try to ignore every thing else. Though I couldn't help but to hear the voice of Mitch go and speak, at that.
"I can't see shit Bradley... This is pointless..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was that he did in fact speak to his companion. On just what it was that he had in fact just said, at that.
Just as soon as it was that I had heard as to what he had said. That was when it was that I looked over in to their direction, at that. As it was that I realized that I couldn't see them what so ever, at that.
Just as soon as it was that it had seemed to have been the case. That was when it was that I seemed to shiver quite a bit, all of the sudden. As it was that I then also began to start to hear the voice of Bradley speak, at that.
"Yeah... Well I am not going to just give up and sleep out in the open... Who knows what the hell could be out in this mess..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I did in fact just seem to blink my eyes a few times.
Just as soon as it was that he had said as to just what he had said. That was when it was that it seemed to remind me that he was right. As I knew for a fact that I didn't want to sleep out here, all at the exact same time too.
Just as soon as it was that it had seemed to have been the case. That was when it was that I seemed to have blinked my eyes a few times. And I then did in fact get my focus back on Kips, who I could also barely see.
Just as soon as it was that I had done as such a thing like that. That was when it was that I then began to start to hear his voice, at that. As it was that I then did in fact begin to listen as to just what he had to say, as well.
"I've got every thing done... I just need you to help me with the spikes Michael... So just get 2 out of the bag and go to the corners..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too, at that.
Just as soon as it was that he had said as to just what he had said. That was when it was that I did in fact seem to blink my eyes a few times. As it was that I did in fact also just seem to go and wake my self up a bit.
As it was that it had seemed to have been the case, at that. And I seemed to look all around me for just a few moments of time. That was when it was that I then began to panic, as it was that it did in fact seem to simply be getting darker, at that.
Just as soon as it was that I had in fact realized that it was the case. That was when it was that I looked back over in to the direction of Kips. As it was that I then did in fact simply go and speak to him, all at once.
"I can't see any thing... I don't know where the bag is at!" I did in fact just seem to say to him, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I continued to stare all around me just as soon as it was that I had said that.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. That was when it was that I heard the voice of Kips go and speak back to me. As I once again looked over to him, as I listened as to just what he had to say.
"Come on Michael... Stop wasting our time... You know damn well that the bag is at your feet..." He did in fact just seem to say to me. As he spoke to me as if I was in fact some kind of idiot, all at the exact same time too.
As I did in fact not know that the bag was at my feet. Until it was that I did in fact look below me, all at once. As I did in fact begin to remember that I had not taken a step since it was that he had dropped it there.
I then kind of felt a little bit dumb, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I did in fact begin to start to reach my hand in to his bag. As it was that I spoke to my self, just as soon as it was in fact the case, at that.
"Come on... Where are the pikes?" I did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I did in fact do my best to try to stay as calm as I felt like I could, at that.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. That was when it was that I blinked my eyes a few times, at that. And I then did in fact begin to start to let out quite a bit of a rough sigh, all at once.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. That was when it was that I knew as to the fact that it was always in the same spot. As I reached in and did in fact grab the pikes, all at the exact same time too.
Just as soon as it was that I had done as such a thing like that. That was when it was that I heard the voice of Kips go and speak once again. As it was that I did in fact listen as to just what ever it was that he had to say, at that.
"Come on Michael... We haven't got all night..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too. As it was that he did in fact seem to be rushing me quite a bit, on the fact that it was that he had said that.
As it was clear to me that I could tell that my friend was a bit afraid. As it was that it seemed like he was a bit scared of some thing. As it was that I was in fact quite a bit lost as to just what that might be.
Just as soon as it was that I had in fact thought on that how ever. I did in fact simply shake my head and get my thoughts off of that. As it was that I then did in fact simply speak back to him, all at once.
"Alright... I've got you, don't worry..." I did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time as well. As it was that I did in fact do my best to act as calm as I felt like I could.
Just as soon as it was that I had said as to just what I had said. As it was that I then did in fact begin to look at the very dark tent, at that. As it was that I then did in fact begin to go on over to the corners, at that.
Just as soon as it was that I had got over to the corner, at that. I then did in fact begin to start to hear the voice of Kips, at that. As this time I could just barely see him, as I listened as to just what it was that he had to say.
"Alright? You ready now?" He did in fact just seem to say. As it was that I did in fact see him have his eyes squinted at me. Just as soon as it was that he had said as to just what it was that he had even said.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just seemed to have been the case, all at once. That was when it was that I did in fact blink my eyes a few times. And I then did in fact go and nod back to him, at that.
As it was that I was not all too sure if he had even seen me do as such. As it was that I then did in fact quickly go and speak back to him. Just as soon as it was that it had been the case.
"Yep... Let's get it done!" I did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time as well. As it was that I tried to use a bit of an uplifting voice, at that. Even though I knew that this was a normal thing that we did each and every single night.
Just as soon as it was that I had said as to just what I had said how ever. That was when it was that I saw Kips put his in to the ground. As it was that I did in fact do the same thing for my self, all at once.
As just as soon as it was that I had in fact done as such a thing. That was when the both of us began to kick our spikes to push it in. To make sure the tent didn't fly away during the night, at that.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact been the case. That was when it was that the both of us did in fact look right at each other. As it was that I did in fact begin to start to hear him speak to me just as it was the case.
"Alright... Last one, and then we are all set to go..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too, all at once. As it was that he did in fact blink his eyes a few times, just as soon as it was the case.
Just as soon as it was that I had heard as to just what he had said. That was when it was that I then did in fact go and nod back to my friend. As it was that I then did in fact begin to start to head over to the last corner.
Just as soon as it was that I had in fact got over to the corner. That was when it was that I then did in fact begin to look back at him. And I then did in fact go and speak to him, all at the exact same time too.
"Alright... Now..." I did in fact just seem to say, all at once. As it was that I pushed mine in to the ground first. As it was that the both of us then began to go and kick ours in, all at the exact same time too.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact just been the case. That was when it was that I then began to start to see him walk over to me. And over to where the front of the tent was at, all at the exact same time too.
Just as soon as it was that he had in fact joined me at the front. That was when it was that I did in fact simply blink my eyes a few times. And I then did in fact simply go and just turn my head away, at that.
Just as soon as it was that he was in fact about to head in to the tent. That was when it was that I heard the familiar voices of Pokes. As he seemed to speak to us from right behind, all at the exact same time too.
"Wait... Michael!" He did in fact just seem to say to me, all at the exact same time as well. As it was that I did in fact look over to the goblin just as soon as he had said that.
I was a bit lost as to just what it was that was going on at first. As it was that I did in fact stare at the goblin right in to his eyes. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to go and tilt my head on over to him, as well.
Just as soon as it was that I had in fact done as such a thing like that. That was when it was that I also then began to go and speak to him. As it was that he did in fact listen as to just what I had to say back to him of course.
"Yes Pokes? Can I help you?" I did in fact just seem to say. As it was that I did in fact do my best to be as formal as I felt like I could. As it was that I did in fact know that I was in fact the leader, at that.
Just as soon as it was that I had in fact been that sort of way. That was when it was that I saw the goblin go and nod to me. As it was that he did in fact dip his head a bit low to the ground as well, all at once.
Just as soon as it was that he had done as such a thing like that. I saw that the goblin had a bit of a guilty look on his face, at that. As it was that I did in fact begin to start to hear him go and speak to me, as well.
"I... I don't have a tent my self... And I usually just sleep in the middle of the camp... But I don't really feel safe doing that tonight... I was wondering if... Well..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too, all of the sudden.
I did in fact see that he had his eyes wide just as he had said that. As it was that I did in fact know as to just what it was that he was getting at. As it was that I also seemed to stare at him with my eyes wide.
Just as soon as it was that the goblin was about to continue with what it was that he was saying. That was when it was that I heard the voice of Kips. As it was that I did in fact begin to start to hear him interrupt the goblin.
"Oh! Absolutely not! I am not letting you sleep in the tent with us!" He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time as well. As it was clear that he was not all too happy with what the goblin was implying.
Just as soon as it was that I had heard as to just what my friend had said. And I did in fact see the sad but also scared look on the face of Pokes. That was when it was that I did in fact look back over to Kips.
Just as soon as it was that I had done as such a thing like that. That was when it was that I then did in fact begin to start to squint my eyes at him. As it was clear that he was a bit lost as to just why I was doing as such.
Just as soon as it was that it had continued to have been the case. That was when it was that I shook my head back at Kips. As it was that I then did in fact begin to speak to him, all at the exact same time too.
"Really Kips? I want to keep this goblin safe... I am the leader as well... I am fine with him staying in our tent..." I did in fact just seem to say. As it was that it was clear that Kips was shocked by what I had said.
He opened his mouth at first as to just what I had said. As if it was that he was going to say some thing about the decision that I had made. But he did in fact seem to simply stay silent, all at the exact same time too.
Just as soon as it was that it had in fact been the case. That was when it was that I then heard the voice of Pokes, all of the sudden. As he had a look of relief on his face just as he had heard as to what I had said.
"Thank you so much Michael... I really appreciate that... I won't try to take up too much space... Okay?" He did in fact just seem to say to me. As it was that he also nodded back to me as to just what he had said at the end.
Just as soon as it was that he had said as to just what he had said. That was when it was that I did in fact simply go and nod back at him. And I then did in fact begin to feel much more calm, as he then did in fact begin to go in to the tent, at that.
Just as soon as it was that he had done as such a thing like that. Me and Kips both grabbed our bags, at that. And we did in fact simply go and follow him in to the tent, at that.
Just as soon as it was that the both of us had got in side. And we had in fact closed the tent door behind us. I then did in fact begin to start to hear the voice of Kips go and speak, all at the exact same time too.
"You better not steal any thing from us Pokes..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time too. As it was that he called the goblin by his name this time. Rather than the fact that he had just called him goblin.
It seemed to at least warm things up a little bit in the room. As it was that I did in fact see the goblin roll his eyes back at Kips. And he also then began to go and speak right back to him, all at the exact same time too.
"Why would I try to steal any thing from you... Where we are at... I don't think I would get very far..." He did in fact just seem to say. As it was that he did in fact just seem to prove a very good point, at that.
Kips didn't seem to be at all too happy with it still, either way. As it was that he did in fact just seem to grunt, all at the exact same time too. As it was that he then did in fact go and put down his pillow and blanket.
Just as soon as it was that he had done as such a thing like that. That was when it was that I did in fact hear the voice of Kips. As it was that he seemed to speed up, all at once, at that.
"Yeah... You better hope so... That would not be very smart..." He did in fact just seem to say, all at the exact same time as well, at that. As it was that I did in fact see he had his eyes squinted at Pokes still.
I kind of just let out a bit of a soft sigh as I saw it was the case. As I felt like it really didn't seem to matter what so ever at the very moment. As it was that I then did in fact simply go and turn my head away from them both.
I then did in fact just seem to shiver as I looked at the darkness. As it was that I did my best to try to stay as calm as I felt like I could. Just as soon as it was that I then did in fact simply speak to my self quietly.
"Well... This is going to be a long and cold night..."
