Jin and I sat on the couch scrolling through our cell phones. Today we had all 4 days off. Our manager wasn't there and there was no replacement for him. So we had to stay home.
I looked at the clock. 7:28 am. It was very early in the morning.
Me: Hyung?
Jin: Yes?
Me: We have to wake up Jungkook and Yuyu soon. They have to go to school.
Jin nodded.
Jin: I know. Give them 10 more minutes. Both of them studied for a long time yesterday.
I nodded. Jungkook had a lot to study. Because there were exams soon and he would graduate from school next year. Shortly before summer and in winter there were big examinations.
Yuyu also studied a lot. It didn't seem that difficult for her. She was gifted. But because we had a busy schedule, it was difficult to find time for the two of them to study during the day. That's why they studied at night time.
And what was even more shocking was that Yuyus graduation wasn't until early 2017. That was another 3 years. That made me realize how much younger they were actually. Jungkook came to Seoul when he was 13 and had to get by without his parents. Yuyu was only 10 when she came to Seoul, however. She was also completely alone without parents.
She went to a new school here. She had a completely new environment. It must have been tough. It was still hard for them both now.
They would never have a real childhood. They had always worked and had to follow the strict rules of entertainment.
It was true. I was hard on both of them at times. Because sometimes they behaved like children. What was completely normal. But I wanted to get the best out of them.
But I loved them both very much. I was proud of both of them.
Jin got up and went to the bedroom. Probably to wake up Yuyu and Jungkook. When he came back he prepared the packed lunches for the two of them. The others were certainly still asleep.
After 10 minutes the two came out of the bedroom. In their uniforms. To be honest, I was a little annoyed with Yuyu's uniform. It was always cold in winter, but she still had to wear such short skirts. With Jungkook it wasn't a problem. He wore long clothes.

Therefore, Jin always gave her at least 4 hand warmers and told her to put on a scarf. He also kept telling her that she should definitely eat.
I was glad that Yuyu was at least as honest and admitted when she hadn't eaten instead of hiding it. Even thought Jin would scold her a bit. I would have done the same.
Jungkook: Good morning hyung.
Me: Morning.
Jungkook was holding a piece of paper. Probably that was the topic he had in today's exam.
Me: Good luck. You can do it.
He just nodded and took his packed lunch and put it in his backpack. Then he left the house with Jin. Jin often drove him to school.
Me: Yuyu? When do you have lessons?
Yuyu sat down next to me.
Yuyu: I only got to the second.
Her school was only 15 minutes away from home. So she didn't have any stress in the morning.
Me: Do you have any exams today?
She nodded.
Yuyu: Yeah history. But I am perfectly prepared.
I nodded. I liked it when she was so confident.
Then she got up and took out the scale. She weighed herself several times and wrote down the results. Most of the time she had lost weight or it hadn't changed much. It always made her very sad.
I thought about stopping her, since the result could ruin her mood.
Yuyu suddenly looked at me with tears in her eyes ... I knew she had lost weight again. I should have stopped her.
Then she ran up to me and hugged me. I hugged her back.
Yuyu: Oppa ~
She sobbed.
Me: Shh it's fine.
I didn't know what to say. I've never been good at comforting people.
Yuyu: I've gained weight.
What!? She pulled away.
Me: What are you saying?
Yuyu smiled through her tears. There were tears of joy.
Yuyu: I gained 0.9 kg. Finally!
Me: That's great.
I smiled at her. I was really happy. I was relieved that she had finally gained weight and that she wasn't crying out off sadness. It wasn't much. But it was enough.
She had an urgent need to gain weight since a long time. She even took medicine and went to see the doctor at least 4 times a month.
However, she was always afraid of going to a doctor alone, which is why Jin offered to go and we asked Pdnim. Pdnim had supported us from the start and we had a very good relationship with him. He was okay with that. And always released Jin during the time when Yuyu was visiting the doctor so he could go with her.
Since then, Jin has always attended doctor visits. He would tell us afterwards what happened at the doctor and how Yuyu was physically doing, how her condition was and more. Unfortunately, she had only made little progress until now. Hopefully this would change soon. I really had hope.
* 10.00 a.m. *
In the meantime the maknaes were at school and the others were waking up one after the other. I waited for Jin to tell him about Yuyu.
He came through the front door just 5 minutes later. He sat on the couch.
Jimin: Good morning hyung.
Jin: Good morning. How long have you been awake?
Taehyung: For an hour.
He nodded and then looked at me. I smiled at him.
Jin: Why are you in a good mood?
Me: Can't I be in a good mood?
Jin: Of course you can.
I got up to make my coffee and say what Yuyu had told me. So that I could avoid any reaction.
Me: Yuyu weighed himself earlier.
Jin: And?
Me: She cried.
I heard Hoseok and Jin sighed.
Jimin : How much did she lose?
Me: Nothing. She even finally gained weight.
Jin: What?
He said confused. Ahhh ~ I hated that attention. Everyone was looking at me now.
Namjoon: Then why did she cry?
Me: Tears of joy.
Before I disappeared into the kitchen, I turned around once again.
Me: Yuyu gained 0.9 kg.
I said with a smile. They were all speechless and obviously pleasantly surprised. Then I disappeared into the kitchen. Finally coffee.
