Lan Xichen took over the managing of the household as best as he could, as both Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian needed time to rest and re-charge. Almost everyone wanted to talk to them about different topics and issues, but he forbade it.

- Both are alright. Both are alive. Tomorrow is a new day.  –  Zewu-Jun had smiled, and nobody objected.

The only person allowed in the master bedroom that day was Lan Sizhui. He was extremely upset to see Wei Ying so thin and weak, and his dads took hours to cuddle him in their bed and console him, promising him that everything would be just fine. He knew a lot more now, and understood how hard things had been for them both:

- Why did you lie to me, Dad? Why did you hide so many things from me? – he sobbed. – I thought you were just being irresponsible... frivolous... And it turns out you were in such pain! Wei Qianbei!

- Ah, my baby...  -  Wei Ying was hugging him, brushing tears away. – It's not so bad... Your father is here with me, so nothing bad can happen to me! – he smiled faintly. – Will you join us for a hunt? Maybe tomorrow?

- Don't change the subject!  –  A-Yuan yelled, upset.

- Son, you need to calm down. Remember your training.  –  Lan Wangji did not appreciate the tone.

- Forgive me, Hanguang-Jun. – he sniffed. – But when it comes to my dads, I cannot help but worry. This is the only thing I worry about.

Wei Wuxian bit his lips. This young man was a true son of his, somehow. He sat up in the bed, letting him rest his head in his lap, caressing his hair just like he used to when Lan Sizhui was a young boy.

He said seriously:

- What are you planning to do? What if your brother is really the baby Her Majesty is searching for?

- My brother...  -  Lan Sizhui smiled.  –  Sounds like a dream to me still. Sounds wonderful, Papa...

Wei Ying looked into his husband's face, smiling too, both of them were blushing.

- I am not sure yet. I want to hear my uncles' opinions on it too. I think we should keep it a secret. – he sighed. – I would have considered it all a bad joke if it wasn't for the Mistress's dreams. I know for certain she is not making those up.

Lan Wangji frowned.

- Yea... - Wei Wuxian said thoughtfully. – She seems to have built a special connection to A-Ning. They have similar characters. And I am sure he will never tolerate anything suspicious when it comes to me. – he grinned, proud to be special to the Ghost General, and earning a pout from his son.

- She will be fine as long as you are with her, Wei Ying. The question is – will you be fine?   -   Hanguang-Jun scoffed.

- We cannot afford to make her travel anywhere in the last months, my heart. – Wei Ying frowned. – You really have not seen too many pregnant women, Lan Zhan! – he grinned, making him blush deeper.

- So you are planning to let her stay at Lotus Pier in the spring? – A-Yuan asked, worried.

- Where else would she be safe? - Hanguang-Jun raised an eyebrow.

- To be honest, I think the safest place in the country is this House. – he blushed. – My dads are the strongest cultivators of this age, you know.

Wei Wuxian laughed out loud and patted his head.

- Ah, Lan Zhan! We need to marry this one off soon! He is sooo good at flattery! I am sure he will be able to find a lovely girl very soon!

- Papa!  -  Lan Sizhui was blushing deeply, extremely embarrassed.

- Well, what is it now?! – he raised an eyebrow. – Or maybe you prefer the boys?  –  he winked.

- Papa!!   –  the young man jumped off the bed, awfully flustered.

Wei Wuxian was content to cuddle closer to his husband – Lan Zhan quite naturally opened his arms to welcome him in an embrace, and they got together in a split second, making their son wonder yet again how fully and completely they matched.

- Sweetheart, behave. - Hanguang-Jun smirked, amused. – A-Yuan, whatever partner you choose, we will support your decision. You know this. – he said seriously.

- Father! Gods!  -  Lan Sizhui huffed and turned his back to them to leave the room, mumbling something under his nose about how impossible they were.

- See?  You chased him away! – Wei Wuxian mumbled unhappily.

- Oh? I did that?  –  Lan Wangji puffed.

- Well, it wasn't me!  –  his husband replied, grinning, and lifting his face so that he could meet Hanguang-Jun's perfect lips.

- Mmmmm.

They kissed, too happy to be together. Hanguang-Jun had promised to spend the day in the bedroom, recovering, and keeping his loved one close and warm. His brain was buzzing with all the assignments and tasks that were waiting for him – to be done, or discussed – but he relied on his brother to manage.

- Today is just for you and me, my love. – he murmured in Wei Ying hair. – What do you want to do?

- Mmmm... We can kiss a little... And we can sleep together... and we can eat together... and we can bathe together... and then we can kiss... Hanguang-Jun, you can read to me... and you can play to me... And did I mention kissing?  –  he pouted.

-No. But we can add it to the list. – Lan Wangji smiled. – What else do you want?

- I want to make a list of wishes for New Year's, my heart... And then, I want to fall asleep to the sound of your voice, describing our beautiful babyboy to me...- he said dreamily, looking up.

- Wei Ying...  -  Lan Zhan murmured, leaning down to be closer.

- Beloved, I so want him to have your eyes... to have your magic... your grace... your beauty... - he was whispering, longing, lost in a dream.

- Husband...  -  Hanguang-Jun said weakly, lowering his face more, his lips now brushing against Wei Wuxian's lips.

They were just about to kiss, when there came a knock on the door and Bai Li came in, bowing, expecting orders and instructions. Both of them turned their flushed faces and blinked, confused.

- Masters? – she was equally confused. – The Young Master Lan told me that you needed me?

- Did he now –  Wei Wuxian gnashed his teeth. He wanted a quiet day with just his husband. He now turned to him:

- Lan Zhan, we must get into the habit of locking that damned door  more often. Not to say always.

- I agree, my love.  -  Hanguang-Jun mumbled.

- I can come later. – the housekeeper bowed again and decided to leave them alone, and go find the Young Master to scold.

The joke was not funny.

- No. Bai Li, stay.  –  Lan Wangji said authoritatively. – Please, tend to the fire. It is good that you are here. I just wanted to delay this conversation until tomorrow.

- Yes, annoying young woman! Because, you know, yesterday we were on our deathbeds!  –  Wei Ying pouted and sulked.

- Darling, behave.  –  Lan Zahn said gently.

- Ha!  –  he huffed. – But, Hanguang-Jun, I wanted to be just with you today! I had such plans!

Bai Li kneeled to feed the fire, smiling. It was good to hear energy and spunk in her Master Wei's voice again.

There was another faint knock on the door.

Wen Ning peeked and said meekly:

- Wei Gongzi, I know you need to rest, but I am bringing Hanguang-Jun's birthday present. It will only take a minute. – he grumbled.

- OH HELL!  But of course! Come in! You all should come in!  After all, THIS IS JUST OUR BEDROOM!!!  –  Wei Wuxian jumped in the bed, standing up with his hands on his hips now.

Wen Ning blinked, perplexed, and wondering how to proceed, but Lan Wangji laughed and stood up to greet him:

- Ignore my childish husband, Brother. Please, do come in. You are always welcome in any of our rooms. – he cast a poisonous glance at Wei Ying, who was sulking for real now.

- Damn it.  –  he mumbled and flung himself petulantly onto the big bed again.
