𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐈𝐈𝐈: Chapter 45

Start from the beginning

"It's because other girls can't compare to the one I'm madly in-love with." He stares into my eyes for some reason and gives me an affectionate smile.

"Who's the lucky girl?" I smile out of excitement.

He smirks, looking at me amused. But he doesn't get to answer as the same waitress interrupts us, and places the traditional Korean side dishes on the table. Before she leaves, she flashes a flirty smile towards Taehyung. I couldn't help but chuckle to myself to see her getting swoon for Taehyung at first sight.

But I don't blame her. Taehyung is a handsome guy and his personality matches his attractiveness. I think any girl would be lucky to have him.

Soon enough, we pick up our chopsticks and begin tasting some of the side dishes in-front of us. The waitress comes again but with the raw meat and places the Bulgogi and short ribs onto the table.

Taehyung immediately picks up the short ribs and places it onto the grill that's in the middle of the table. I did the same but pick up the Bulgogi and quickly place it on the grill as well. He takes notice and look up at me with a half smirk. Then continues to cook the short ribs until it's well cooked and place it onto my plate. I do the same to him but with the Bulgogi he had ordered.

I had always waited for this moment with him, where I could finally catch up alone with him and to...apologize once again. I will continue to apologize to him as much as I can for betraying him.

"Taehyung, I just want to get this off of my chest first," I utter, feeling myself starting to get tense. "I wanted to again apologize for what I had done in the past—"

"Y/n, I forgive you," Taehyung cuts me off. He rest his elbows onto the table and leans closer to me. "I've forgiven you a long time ago. I understand why you had to do that. I mean, yeah I was deeply hurt, but it's the past now. I know you didn't mean it."

A sudden smirk appears on his face. "To be honest, Jungkook deserved that shit happen to him. If anything you should have gotten all three of us boys—Jin, J-Hope and I—in the same bed that day. I know that would have definitely set him off." He chuckles. "He would have committed a triple homicide."

I couldn't help but laugh along with him, as the ice finally breaks between us, feeling myself getting comfortable with him.

But soon his expression turns serious, as he looks me deep in my eyes. "Y/n, I've always wanted to tell you this...that I'm so proud of you and happy for all the amazing things you had accomplished. I've seen the potential in you from the very beginning I met you...and I'm just so happy for you y/n, I really am."

"Thanks Taehyung." I feel my heart melting with his kind words. It feels great hearing it come from him, considering he did try to push me many times out of my comfort zone and had always encourage me to do the things that made me happy. Now that I think about it, Taehyung and Jimin seem to share those same qualities. No wonder why they were once good friends.

"You're actually one of the reasons why I'm where I'm at today. And I don't think I can thank you enough," I utter and look at him with admiration. He's smiling back at me, making me smile back. I watch his face gleam with pure happiness, making my heart warm up in joy.

There's really something about Taehyung I can't quite explain. All I know is that I want him to be part of my life again. I don't ever want to lose him now that we are back to how we were—friends. Great friends.
