It's been raining pretty heavily since lunch, it's nearly the end of last period now. Slughorn has left us to our own free will this class, letting us catch up on unfinished assignments, practicing potions that we haven't got the hang of yet, and taking the piss out of each other.

"You think it's going to rain all night?" I ask my group of friends.

Evie looks up from her notes, "You've got plans to look at the stars or something?"

"Just curious," I say.

In truth, I'm sort of hoping that it storms tonight. I could really go for sitting in the rain by myself for a little. Not that anything too drastic has happened to me or anything, but I dunno, I'm missing home more recently and storms link me to that?

I think it's got to do with Cass if I'm being quite honest. No matter how happy I am with Evie and the others, a bit of me is still worried about whatever it is that made Cass change as much as she did. Not like she's going to tell me anything anytime soon but it would nice to have a conversation with her.

"Syrup of Hellebore is used in..." Louis grumbles under his breath. His studying tactic is to just read his note out loud so it looks like he's actually doing something.

"Draught of peace, Volubilis potion, and potion number eighty-six." Amar finishes Louis's sentence as he yawns and flips through an old copy of the Daily Prophet.

"I knew that." Louis states.

Amar looks at him, " No you didn't."

I let the two of them bicker and go back to my Care of Magical Creatures composition that I've got to finish by Wednesday.

The period bell rings and Slughorn stands from his desk, "Good work today everyone! I'll see you all Thursday morning."

Evie and I pack our things up and walk out of the classroom hand in hand, "You want to do something before dinner? I'm not picky." Evie says to me as we walk from the potions class over to the Slytherin common room entrance.

"I would but all I want to do right now is study. It's nearly May and I still haven't got a clue what is going on in half my classes to pass my practicals let alone my OWLs."

"You can come study in my common room while I use your thigh as a pillow and take a nap," Evie says. She leans her back against the wall and pulls me into her. "Or I can relieve some of your stress." She stands on her tippy toes and softly kisses my neck, "I don't like seeing you this stressed out darling."

I sigh and wrap my arms around her waist, my hands resting on her ass. "As soon as we write our OWLs everything will be back to normal okay? Pinky promise."

I move one of my hands and stick my pinky out. Evie wraps her pinky around mine and kisses my lips, "Here's hoping that my Mum and Dad let me come visit over the summer." She hums, "Two whole months of me and you sneaking off, I can't fucking wait."

I laugh, "Two whole months of me working b in the shop, wishing that I was anywhere but."

"Really out here popping my bubble huh?" Evie laughs.

"Sorry darling, truly." I peck her lips again and she smiles.

We head into the Slytherin common room together. A bit of me hopes that Cass is inside sitting on a chair or something. But she's nowhere to be seen. Instead, I'm forced to be witness to Albus sitting in Scorpius's lap as they make out heavily.

"If that's what we look like every time we snog I can see why Louis and Amar hate it so much," I say to Evie as we pass my cousins.

Albus hears me apparently because he stops kissing Scorpius and clambers off of his lap, "What're you doing in here?"
