I take a deep breath as I know what I'm about to say will hurt them too, before I can speak Mason says "what did she mean before I go?" I swallow hard "boys she's gone away for a few days. She'll be at the airport now. She's back Monday. She said she needs a few days to clear her head. She's really hurt, I'm so sorry I put you all in that position." I say the tears falling faster. Ben hugs me and says "you don't need to apologise to us. But we fucked up and hurt her so we have find a way to make it up to her. Actually, why don't we talk to Gareth about throwing her a birthday party, showing her how much she means to us." We all nod and agree with Bens idea, we head back inside and go to Gareth. "Boss, we've been thinking, we all hurt Ames a lot and we'd love to make it up to her showing her how much she means to us. Can we throw her a birthday party?" I say to him and he offers a small smile. He says "Look boys, I heard what happened, Jordan I think we'll have a chat after, but Amy told me why she's upset with all of you lads and as a former footballer and your manager, I'm happy to see you having each others backs, but as a Amy's dad, she deserved better. She sees you all as her brothers, and you hurt her, she trusted you all, in her eyes you lied to her face. Yes, you can throw her a party, but on Tuesday. It will be a relax day anyway as we've got the game Monday, I've scheduled later start training on Wednesday so I can give Amy her presents." We all thank him. Now I've spoken to her and told her that I believe, you genuinely thought you was being polite and obviously you didn't go any further and turned her away when she tried means there was no intentions of doing that to her, I'm warning you now, it's your last chance son" I shake his hand and he pulls me into a hug. "Thank you" I say and as we pull apart he laughs "you have got her a present haven't you?" I laugh with him "yes I have, I've spoilt my girl, I actually think we all have." We head to the gym to finish training.
