ADAM,

YOU’RE DELUDED!!!!!!! HOW CAN YOU LOOK AT THIS EVIDENCE AND NOT SUSPECT THAT SOMETHING BEYOND COMPREHENSION HAS OCCURED?????? AS DETECTIVES, WE HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO INVESTIGATE ALL THEORIES RELATED TO A CRIME. ONCE WE HAVE DONE THAT, AND ONLY AFTER WE HAVE DONE IT, CAN WE DISMISS THEM!!!

YOU ARE IN MY WAY, ADAM. I NEED YOU TO GET OUT OF IT.

Eric,

Your obsessions are concerning to me. The house was bad enough, but this book is worse. It’s a book, Eric. That’s all it is. The blood on the pages can’t be identified. That makes the book one thing and one thing only: useless. It’s a dead end. Like the house, the book’s history is irrelevant in court.

You are seriously compromising our investigation, and I’m not sure how much more damage I can allow you to do.

The only reason I have allowed it to go on this long is because the theories you are investigating are so far beyond illogical that they couldn’t possibly do any damage in court. They’re just extremely irritating to me.

You’re becoming deluded.

Adam,

I know who I saw behind the Ludarac’s house on Halloween. I told you after Jonathan’s interrogation that we have a difference of opinions regarding the course of events. Even you admitted that you cannot fully explain all the details. I will reiterate that I have a less conventional theory of what happened. I feel that it is my duty as a detective to pursue this theory with or without your support.

I would appreciate the professional courtesy of you not questioning my every move. Your constant hounding me is distracting. I will not ignore a possible solution to this investigation because the details make you uncomfortable. You can threaten all the disciplinary action you want. I will not stop until I am satisfied.

Eric,

This is a follow-up to the conversation we had at Jonathan Ludarac’s interrogation.

I have to put my foot down. You’re wasting time and resources holding interrogations with people who have no insight or knowledge of this case. What’s worse is that you have now brought some information into an interrogation of which I had no knowledge. How was I supposed to react when you asked about the book? I couldn’t let Harker know that I had no idea what the hell you were talking about. It was unprofessional and humiliating. At the very least, keep me informed.

Adam
