Q: What can you tell me about your mother?
A: She was nice.
Q: You're not angry with her?
A: No, I don't think so.
Q: What can you tell me about when your mother died?
A: What do you want to know?
Q: Where were you?
A: With her.
Q: When she died?
A: Yes. She's my mother. I wanted to be with her.
Q: Can you tell me how she died?
A: She tied a rope around her neck and jumped off a chair.
Q: You watched her?
A: Yes.
Q: Did she say why she would do something like that?
A: She said she wanted it.
Q: Why?
A: Because of me.
Q: You know that's not true, Jonathan.
A: Yes it is.
Q: Your mother loved you, Jon. She was just sick.
A: Then she was sick because of me.
Q: That can't possibly be true, Jonathan. Your mother was just sick. It had nothing to do with you.
A: That's not what she said.
Q: What did she say?
A: She got up on the chair with the rope around her neck and said that she was going to jump because I didn't leave her any other options. I made her do it.
