Eye Color: Brown
Distinguishing Marks: Deceased has four tattoos. Depiction of devil on left shoulder (6”). Depiction of angel on right shoulder (5”). Depiction of grim reaper on central upper back (7”). The name “Amanda” on right forearm above wrist (4”). Deceased also has an aged scar (2”) on right thigh from childhood injury (detailed in medical history).
Cause of Death: Exsanguination due to laceration on throat. The laceration severed the common carotid artery. Based on examination of cellular decay in the area, the deceased bled for five to six minutes before cardiac arrest set in. Based on examination of the throat laceration, the device used was a knife (blade length 7-9”, slight curve), brand unknown. Bruising on the shoulders of the deceased indicates a struggle between Gaines and his attacker. The attacker appears to have held the victim down in the chair where he was found.
