Transcript-Interrogation of Vincent Bates

Interrogating Officers: Sgt. Eric Renfield, Sgt. Adam Dalton

Location: 7821 Garner Ave.-Home of Vincent Bates

Date: 10/13/2012

Time: 1:20 PM

Dalton: Thank you for meeting with us again, Mr. Bates.

Bates: No problem. Is this about Dallas again?

Dalton: I'm afraid not. Jack Sitersin was found dead.

Bates: What? Was he murdered?

Dalton: We're not sure at this time. I'd like to ask you a few questions if that's alright.

Bates: Did Jonathan do it? Is he coming for us?

Dalton: No, Mr. Bates. At this time, we have no reason to suspect that Jonathan Ludarac is responsible for any of the recent events.

Bates: So why are you talking to me?

Dalton: We found an identification card in Sitersin's makeshift home.

Bates: So? What does that have to do with me?

Dalton: Well, Mr. Bates, the name on the card is Mina Carver. Does that name mean anything to you?

Bates: No, I don't know any Mina Carver.

Renfield: Hmm, well that makes sense given that she doesn't exist. The ID is a fake.

Bates: What are you getting at?

Renfield: Do you know whose picture was on the ID, Mr. Bates?

Bates: Orson Welles. How the [EXPLETIVE DELETED] am I supposed to know? Shut up, Sharon. [EXPLETIVE DELETED] the [EXPLETIVE DELETED] swear jar.

Dalton: The picture on the ID, the ID we found in Jack Sitersin's living-space, was Lucy Ludarac.

Bates: What?

Renfield: I think you heard him, Mr. Bates. Now, what I'm wondering is why Jack Sitersin would have a fake ID that bears the image of Lucy Ludarac.

Bates: What do you want me to say?

Dalton: We're just trying to figure this whole mess out, Mr. Bates. We need all the information we can get. I think you may have some information.

Bates: Go [EXPLETIVE DELETED] yourself.

Dalton: Mr. Bates, do you have any reason to believe that someone may intend harm to you or Cullen Krast?

Bates: I-I don't-Listen, can I tell you some things off the record?

Dalton: Yes, of course. Just a moment. Let me turn the recorder off.

[Tape turned off]

[Tape turned on]

Dalton: That is all very interesting, Mr. Bates. The recorder is back on. I believe you had something you wanted to say on the record.

Bates: I believe that Jonathan Ludarac killed Dallas Gaines and Jack Sitersin. I also believe he intends to kill me and Cullen Krast.
