Q: Can you tell me what happened last night.
A: I don't want to talk about it.
Q: Jonathan said that you tried to kill him.
A: I don't want to talk about it.
Q: He's in the infirmary right now. Did you stab him with a pen?
A: Yeah, and I'd do it again.
Q: Why? What did Jonathan do?
A: I want a new roommate.
Q: We've already made arrangements for you two to be separated. This is very uncharacteristic for you, Joey. Why did you do it?
A: I don't think I can explain. It was the right thing to do.
Q: Why do you say that?
A: He gets me to do things.
Q: What kind of things?
A: Bad stuff. Stuff I know I shouldn't do, but he makes me do them.
Q: Does he force you?
A: No, but when he tells me to do something, I feel like I have to do it.
Q: What kind of things does he make you do?
A: Do you remember when Danny got sick?
Q: Yes. We found out he ate a razor blade.
A: I know. I put it in his cereal. Jonathan told me to do it, so I did it. I didn't want to.
Q: Did Jonathan threaten you?
A: No. He just said I should do it because it would be funny, so I just kind of did it.
Q: Danny had to have a very serious operation to get it removed.
A: I know. I felt really bad, I swear, but I was afraid that if I told anyone what happened, I would get kicked out of here and have to be homeless.
Q: Is that all Jonathan told you to do?
A: No. There was also Jennifer.
Q: What did you do to Jennifer?
A: I didn't want to, but he told me to and I just did it. I didn't want to.
Q: What did you do?
A: I didn't want to.
Q: Joey, what did you do?
A: I told her to kill herself.
Q: I see. Jonathan told you to do this?
A: Yes.
Q: Did he say why?
A: [Shakes head]
Q: When was this?
A: The day before she...
Q: Is there anything else he told you to do?
A: [Nods head]
Q: Do you think you have to do what Jonathan says?
A: No, I know I don't have to, but I do it anyway.
Q: Why?
A: I don't know. I think if I don't do what he tells me something bad might happen to me.
Q: Like what?
A: He might tell someone else to do something to me.
