"Good Morning" I said walking into the kitchen seeing Carter attempting to cook breakfast "What are you doing?" I laughed taking a seat
"Good Morning Des. And trying to make these pancakes but they ain't coming out fluffy like yours" He frowned
"That's because you using the boxed flour. I make mine from scratch" I told him watching him turn to look at me
"The fuck is from scratch? Ain't this shit from scratch?"
"No dummy. That's already prepared for you. I prepare my own batter" I laughed
"I think I liked cooking when I knew how" He shook his head adding more batter to pan
"You mean when you used to order take out and pretend you cooked it?" I raised my eyebrow
"Same shit" He laughed "So wassup? You decided on what you're going to do?" He put everything down
"I'm keeping the baby"
"He convinced you huh?"
"It wasn't really him. It was like I was ready to abort but then I walked in and seeing my babies and hugging them I just don't have the heart to kill it even if it's not even developed yet. I know Dave isn't going to live up to his promises so there's no use in saying I'm doing this for him. I'm keeping this baby for me" I placed my hand on my belly smiling a bit at the fact that I was carrying another life once again
Dave was right. At one point in time I would've killed for this so now that I was able to have children I was going to take advantage of it.
"So you two are good now? The happy married couple?" He asked as he flipped the pancake
"No. Just because I agreed to this child doesn't mean I'm okay with everything that's going on. I'm honestly considering getting a divorce" I got up from my seat walking over to the fridge getting a water bottle
"Aw shit. That nigga about to get served"He laughed "What's making you chose divorce?"
"Because I feel we shouldn't be married. After everything I feel it's best we work on our problems either as friends or boyfriend and girl friend. Not as a married couple. That way if things don't work out we can go our separate ways and not worry about a nasty divorce or custody battle down the line. I just feel like staying married to him is going to bring me soo much drama. Drama that I don't have time for" I told him as I sat back down "He's house hunting too" I shook my head
"So you moving out?" He pouted
"No not at all. And certainly not moving in with him. He can buy the house but I'm not moving in with him. It's going to be a long time before I even consider taking that step with him."
