"Mommy can we go to the mall?" Heaven asked running into my room
"For what baby?" I turned my attention to her
"I need to buy some Jordans" she smiled
"Jordans? Since when you want to wear Jordans?"
"My best friend is going to buy some and she wants me to match her" she shrugged
"I'll think about it. Are you ready for school?" I asked her as I slid my shoes on
"Yes! I'm all ready" She did a little spin
"You're beautiful baby. Let give you your lunch money" I reached for my purse
"Dave already gave me it" She told me catching me off guard because I didn't even know he was here
"Dave's here?"
"Yeah he's getting Kairo ready" She said walking out
I frowned grabbing my book bag and purse since I had class today. I walked out walking down the hall towards Kairo's room and sure enough Dave was there
"You're here early" I said catching his attention.
"Yeah I figured I took Heaven to school and Kairo to Carter's parents today since I know Kain wants you to go visit Layla with him"
Kain kept telling me how Layla wanted to talk to me and if I could please talk to her and apparently it was important so I finally agreed to stop by before school.
"Well thank you. I really appreciate it" I smiled
"Don't mention it. It's the least I can do and I know you get out late today so don't worry I'll get Heaven from school today since I'm off and I'll take her to her grandparents" He said catching Heaven's attention
"What? Mommy nooo" She whined
"It's only until I get out of school baby. They asked to see you and I can' t tell no"
"Why not? It's easy just say no" She shrugged
"Heaven that's not nice" I told her and she just pouted
"Fine.but I hate it there"
"Why do you hate it there?" I asked concerned
At this point it was raising red flags because it's the same thing every time she has to go over there. And usually if a child doesn't want to be around people it means something is wrong that person isn't treating them right. Or even hurting them. I went through it and I'll be damned if I waved this behavior off and let something happen to Heaven.
"It's boring. Grandpa's always sleeping and Grandma always making me read" She rolled her eyes
