All the DN AU's I've made

Let's go bois I have tons. If you want any of these in a story comment lol.

Monster AU

Already talked a lot about this. In short every character is a supernatural/mythical creature and lives in a magic version of the canon world. For more on this AU, check my book 'Finding Purpose' for all the details.

Dance AU

Even though I can't dance for shit (3 year old me never became a ballerina rip) I do love dancing, watching it and all. So of course I had to make a dance AU. So here's who does what:

L- ballet

Light - tap

Lol every time I draw light he always looks salty af.

Misa - contemporary

Near - ballroom
Mello - hip hop/breakdance
Matt - acro
((Still working on info sheets for these three shhh))

I still have to expand on this AU. Idk if they go to a dance studio or are all still on the case but happen to be dancers yet lol.

I'm thinking maybe a dance academy/performing arts academy that's well known for winning competitions and putting on productions. L is Mr national soloist and Light transfers in Japan where he was the Japanese mister national soloist and beef starts because they both wanna win national soloist at this years comps. And maybe Light gets the DN and starts to sabotage the competition with it so he can win but he can't do anything to L because 'L' is just a stage name and no one knows his real name. L becomes sus about it and tries to expose Light while still training relentlessly (bc ballet is brutal). Idk maybe something along those lines.

Royalty AU

Kind of like the prince and the pauper oneshots but a bit different.

L and Light are in apposing kingdoms, trying to protect their kingdoms from each other. The death note is still present and Light is still Kira, L is trying to stop him from killing and prove that he's Kira to save not only his subjects but Lights innocent subjects too.

L- king that took over after Watari retired
Near, Mello and Matt - princes.

Light- king
Misa - 'queen' (that is sadly being used by Light)
Takada and Mikami are nobles, very dedicated to their king.

Still have to expand on this too, need to figure out what era it's in and stuff. Is there magic or nah? Dunno yet.

((P.s. since L's VA is also in princess and the pauper... should I attempt to make an animatic of him singing to be a princess?))

Ok next are just ones I've thought about but never really expanded on much at all.

Although I did write a few oneshots based off HTTYD for a dragon rider AU, I haven't expanded past that. So that's why that one falls under that category.

Dragon riders

basically how to train your dragon lol. The world fights dragons but L trained one. He flys around the world on his night fury and fights 'kira' (dragon hunters) and trying to track down Light, who's behind it all. Mello, Matt and Near also turned those backs on the village and trained dragons to try and fine L again.

Half Shinigami AU.

SOOOO many people make reader chan half Shinigami. But, plot twist- what if L was. That way he'd be able to see names and lifespans, and be immune to the death note. So when Kira pops up he just KNOWS it's a death note. But it isn't case closed so easily because he can't exactly say "it's a book that kills people" and have everyone believe him without proof. So he's got to hide his identity as half Shinigami AND get the book without Light or Misa finding out AND prove its them AANNNDDD scold Ryuk for dropping it.

That's another thing he'd be able to see Rem and Ryuk, and they'd be able to see him. And because they can't tell info to Light and Misa they just gotta watch as Light tries to kill this person that cant be killed. And L just has to pretend he can't see them the whole time.

Superhero Au

Literally the only thing I've thought about this one is: L's a superhero, Light a super villain. They beat each other up. The end.

Idk much about this idea it just came to be and I never really thought about it again.

Yeah that's all I got for now. There's tons more but they are all just titles. Not an actual thought out idea. Just "what if this happened?" Type things. I could make these into oneshots or even short stories later maybe if anyone wants them.
