How to trigger L (crack)

A/n: before we start. You all told me not to go there... but there's not denying it, L's emo ass would have evolved into this... so even though you told me not to. I WENT THERE.

HE'D EVOLVE FROM AN EARLY 2000s EMO TO AN EBOY. Also I did this in like 20 minutes so it's kinda trashy ahhhh. also before anyone calls this oneshot out for being emo cringe that's the point. I'm joking about L's emo-ness.

Hc: L being the emo fuck he is, can be triggered by one of the universal emo songs, and god forbid Light find out about it.

You'd come back to taskforce after spending a day out babysitting for your sister. You came back to find everything seemingly the same, but L had migrated from his usual place watching cameras to another room. Whatever, doesn't really matter right.

"Hey, you're back. How was being a temporary mother?" Light said, upon seeing you return.

"Alright, although I don't think kids are my thing. Where's L? He's usually here" You asked.

"Oh I triggered him"

"You what?"

"Sit down, let me explain"

You sat down opposite him and gave him a confused look.

"So you know how we always joke about L being super emo?" He began.

"Yeah?"

"Well even though he denies it, I finally proved it today. You know about the universal emo song right?"

"Who doesn't"

"Well I thought maybe I'd get a reaction out of him if I played it, and boy did I get a reaction. I've been doing it all day because it's so funny watching him try not to sing along and get all mad at me. Now he's pissed and he stormed off" light explained.

"Oh lord... so your saying he gets triggers by... the note?" You laughed.

"Watch this"

You followed Light up the stairs to the room with the piano on it.

"He's on the floor above us, now watch"

You watched as Lights hand hover over the piano, and in one swift movement, he pressed it.

The g note.

Almost instantly you heard a response.

"LIGHT I SWEAR TO GOD"

You laughed at the sound of L's voice from upstairs suddenly breaking the silence.

"See?" Light laughed.

"How long have you been doing this?" You laughed back.

"All day"

Suddenly the door slammed open and a very angry looking L caught your attention.

"MCR BREAKING UP IS NO JOKING MATTER LIGHT! STOP G-NOTING ME"

"And you say you aren't an emo..." you laughed.

"I only say that because SOMEONE will keep giving me hell for it!" L scoffed, glaring at Light.

Light just gave L a smug look and reached over to the piano again.

"Don't-"

Light looked over at you and you seemed to have the same thought.

"Light I swear to god-"

Light didn't listen, he just pressed the keys and you decided to join in.

"WHEN I WAS, A YOUNG BOY-"

"GOD DAMNIT DON'T ENCOURAGE HIM (Y/N)!"

A/n: sorry this is a bit on the shorter side. I totally lost track of time and it's kinda late rn bc I was paining my L skateboard deck. He looks kinda like a noodle atm bc of the curve of the skateboard and I still gotta add details and do a second coat but here's a little peek.
