Forbidden

Hc: the taskforce can't allow dating. But you and L have fallen for each other.

It was so difficult to work with your crush when you know you can't be with him. You see, you had fallen for L, HARD. And he's fallen for you, EVEN HARDER. The both of you were aware of your feelings for each other, but had to hold back with all your might, the taskforce were watching got every move and we're very against the idea of taskforce members dating as it would get in the way of the case.

But it had been almost a year, it had gotten to the point you and L couldn't deny your feelings for each other. Every day was hard. Whenever you made eye contact, it's end in a staring contest, whenever you touched each other, your hearts would skip a beat.

It was getting ridiculously hard, you had to do something about it. So you decided the only thing you could do was talk to L. Neither of you had said anything about your feeling but the both of you knew. It was about time you both faced the music.

You were trying to wait until the taskforce left, but it had gotten late into the night and they didn't move. They were definitely saying up tonight to work. You needed to get an excuse to get both you and L out of the room for an extended period of time. So you came up with a plan.

You started to print out and bunch of files in the upstairs room, you waited for a while and then went back downstairs.

"Hey L" you said.

"Yeah?" He replied.

"The printers jammed, can you help?"

"Sure"

He followed you back upstairs and you closed the door behind him, when he saw the printer was working perfectly fine, he knew what you were up to.

"Ok, you got me up here, what is it?" He asked.

You leaned against the door.

"We can't keep avoiding this. We both know that we're in love... we both know taskforce will flip, what are we going to do?" You sighed.

For once, L dropped the formalities and sighed, shaking his head.

"I... I don't know. We can't let them know about our feelings, at all. But it's been a whole year, it's so hard to just... ignore it" he replied.

"I know... every day I just fall more and more..."

"Me too... if you weren't so nice to me and so pretty we wouldn't be in this situation..."

"If you weren't so cute and mysterious we wouldn't be in this situation"

"Y-you think I'm cute?" He stammered.

"Of course I do, you're adorable" you smiled.

He smiled, a rare sight to see with L. His cheeks dusted with pink at your compliment.

"I can't keep ignoring this L... after a year of having a thing with you... you start to wonder if you've finally found your soulmate..."

You looked into each others eyes, longing in your gaze. As if you were on the same wavelength, you both slowly began to lean in. But right before you could press your lips to his he stopped.

"We can't..." he whispered.

"Just once can't hurt..." you replied, proceeding to press your lips again his.

He didn't fight the kiss, he accepted it, happily. He'd wanted to do this for as long as you had, even if the taskforce forbid it, he wasn't going to throw the chance away.

The kiss broke for a moment, letting the both of you catch your breath.

"I love you, L" you whispered.

"I love you too (y/n)..." he replied, before diving back into the kiss.

This one was more passionate, rougher, more careless. It lasted longer, all the build up desire you'd collected over the year was being poured out into the kiss. Your arms slipped around his neck and his hand had slithered down to your waist, pulling you closer.

You broke the kiss, looking into his eyes. He looked down at you, with a sad gaze. He wanted to continue this, but he knew he couldn't.

"I want you..." you said.

"I... want you too..." he replied.

You were silent for a moment, trying to think of a way around the situation.

"I know this is forbidden... but taskforce don't need to know. We can't just keep away from each other anymore"

"It's dangerous... they watch us like hawks"

"It's a risk I'm willing to take... I want to make you mine L. So... how about we keep this between you and me, and the next chance we get to be alone, we go for it"

He knew what you meant, and as risky as it was, he didn't have any objections. He wanted it as badly as you did.

"Sounds like a plan..."
