MaiYok

It was early in the morning. Sun was barely up.

Mai went out of the house early, thinking of a way to get his mind straight again, despite all the problems at home.

Sometimes he need a time for himself.

He didn't take his bike.

Rather choose to walk the road.

He didn't know where his feet was taking him but he just walked and walked.

Until he stopped.

An apartment building.

Weird. He never been here.

None of the people he knows lives here.

Why did he walk here?

Wanting to just leave, he take on last look up and saw somebody on one of the balcony.

It was quite high and, was he..... dancing?

Suddenly he was scared.

The boy(?) was obviously alone. But is he alone in the house?

'Go! Go!'

Again, Mai let his body moved on its own.

He walked towards the apartment entrance and towards the elevator. His fingers pressing on the button.

He waited till he teacher the floor and walked till he's in front one of the door.

It was still early, should he knock?

'Open the door! Hurry!'

And he did.

There were people in the room, all obviously sleeping. Some on the bed some on the floor.

His eyes catches the figure outside, on the balcony. He widen his eyes.

The boy was no longer just standing on the balcony, he's sitting on the fences, looking down on it.

He saw how the boy's shoulder was shaking, Mai widened his eyes.

Avoiding the bodies scattered on the floor, he sprint towards the balcony, just about time to catch the boy who was already leaning down.

His hands wraps around the boy's torso.

"No!" He shouted, alerting the people in the room.

Pu, Ngoh, Pam, Duean and Joe all jolted up by the shriek.

"Ai'Yok!" Pam shouted as she

Yok widened his eyes.

He didn't realise what he was doing.

The moment his eyes saw his legs dangling on air, the stress under him.

He gasps.

Mai tighten his hold on the boy, pulling him back up.

"I—I..."

Yok was back on the balcony, safe and sound.

Mai let him go when the boy's leg turned jelly, sitting on the balcony. "I don't know what happened."

Pu squat down to Yok, checking on him. "Are you okay?"

Mai stepped away as the people, Yok's friends, fuss over him.

He was about to leave when his felt a grip on his wrist.

"Phi, t—thank you." Yok stuttered.

"Don't do that again." Mai smile before finally leaving the small room.

"Who's that?" Ngoh asked Yok as the unknown male closes the door behind him.

Yok shrugged his shoulder.

'Mai...'

"P'Mai..."
