A Continuation

Since that day, Ohm made it his mission to meet with the merman.

So does Fluke.

Ohm still wasn't allowed to go fishing with his after, but they'll see each other somewhere new at the shore. Where Fluke will emerge from the water and Ohm will swim a bit further by the lone rock.

They'll spend time with each other, for hours before they had to leave for the night.

"Are you never coming back to the sea?" Fluke asked one night, as they're stargazing together, sitting side by side on top of the rock.

"I wanted to, but my father is just too afraid for now." Ohm replied.

Fluke bit his lower lips. "It was my fault. I'm sorry."

"What's your fault?"

"I didn't save you fast enough. I should've waited till you are back to the shore, like I usually do. Bu—"

"Hey. Stop that. It's not your responsibility to save me."

"It is! I shouldn't have—" His word was cut when a pair of thin lips covers his own. He widened his eyes.

This wasn't their first kiss. But it still took him by surprise.

When they pulled away, Ohm was smiling while the merman was blushing. "I found a way to stop you from rambling."

Fluke bit his lower lips and lightly smacked on the human.

"S-Stop it."

"You're too cute."

That's how they usually spent their night together. The love they have for each other is growing more and more. But none of them wanted to fight the feelings away.

They know what they're feeling is right.

They're each other's soulmate.

"I know where you've been going every night, Fluke." Fluke stopped his spoon midair as his father, King Neptune spoke.

His sisters all bow down their heads.

"I-I'm sorry, father." Fluke said timidly.

King Neptune cleared his throat before dismissing their servants as well as her daughters. Leaving him with his youngest child.

"Come closer, son."

Slowly, Fluke did.

"I'm not angry, Fluke. I'm happy you found your soulmate." King Neptune said softly. His finger lifting his son's face.

Fluke smiles at his father's words.

"But he's a human Fluke. Are you sure?"

The young prince nodded. "He makes me happy, father." He replied.

King Neptune replied with a smile. "Very well then, please bring him to meet me tomorrow."

"What?!"

"Father wanted to meet you."

"K-King Neptune?" Fluke nodded his head enthusiastically.

"You don't want to?" He asked softly when the human wasn't saying anything.

"Of course I want to, Fluke. I'm just scared. He's the king of the sea."

Fluke giggled and pinch in the other's cheeks. "He's not going to eat you Ohm."

"Still!" Fluke smile. "Don't worry, I'll be right beside you. Plus, father just wanted to see the one I lo—love."

Ohm turned his head towards the merman who was clearly blushing even though their only source of light was the moon.

"I love you too Fluke."

Though it had only been a few months, their feelings for each other grew stronger day by day.

Ohm slowly lifted the prince's chin and leaned down to claim the pair of lips with his own.

Fluke returned the favour.

The next morning, Ohm left his house after their breakfast.

His family obviously knows what's going on and they're happy that their oldest son is finally happy.

Though Ohm hasn't really told him of his lover being the mythical being that nobody knew existed.

'Someday.'

He arrived by the shore and swam towards the rock where Fluke was already waiting.

"You ready?" The merman asked excitedly. Ohm nodded with a smile.

Fluke leaned forward, claiming his lips.

Ohm pulled him closer and began moving his lips until Fluke pulled away with a whine.

"I wanted to give you air for when we went underwater silly."

Ohm giggled. "You kissed me, I'm not going to let the opportunity go."

Fluke chuckled and did it again.

The swim to Fluke's place was surprisingly short. But that may be because they were raiding on the sea creatures that were swimming super fast.

But Ohm was amazed that he had no trouble breathing underwater, it's almost like he has his own oxygen tank.

When they arrived, there was a huge commotion  Ohm gulped at all the different mermaids and mermen. As well as the sea creatures.

"Don't be nervous. Remember, I'm here." Fluke whispered to him, intertwining their fingers together.

They swam inside and were guided towards the throne room where Fluke's sisters and the King himself were seated.

"Here goes nothing." Ohm said to himself.

3 Years Later.

Ohm returned from the sea after a day out with his father.

However, not to return to his family's house. Rather to his own. His and his soulmate, lover, husband.

"Anybody here?"

"In the kitchen." He heard the reply coming from the kitchen. He smiles as he makes his way to his husband who was busy preparing their dinner.

He wraps his arms around the man's torso and nuzzle on the back of his nape. Kissing it softly.

"I'm home."

Fluke smiled and turned around, still in his husband's arms. His own pair of legs meeting his husband's.

"Welcome home."
