Athena couldn't help but be silent.

Her emotions were all over the place, she had never felt so many things at once. On one hand, Athena was overjoyed. She was engaged to Fred- her Fred, the one person she loved most in the world. On the other, Dumbledore was gone, and his sudden death made Athena's mind race with a million questions.

How could someone like Dumbledore be gone? How were they supposed to defeat the war without him?

The questions were selfish, Athena knew that. The man had hardly just died, and all she could think about was how they were meant to defeat the war without him- the one person Voldemort was truly afraid of.

"I can't believe Dumbledore is dead," George said, his words snapping Athena out of her thoughts. "Me too," Ginny answered with a sigh, watching as Bree leaned into her boyfriend's side for comfort.

Fred looked over at Athena, who'd been silent since leaving Dumbledore's funeral, "Are you alright, love?" Fred asked, putting his hand on her back and rubbing it softly.

Truth be told, Athena didn't even know how she felt. She was in a mix of concern, worry, and joy. The biggest things swarming her mind at the moment were her and Fred, and Harry- especially Harry.

Throughout Athena's entire life, there was always one stable part of it- Harry. But now? His safety was beginning to be out of Athena's control. Harry was getting older and is becoming a more and more crucial part of the Wizarding World, none of it sat well with Athena- especially after finding out that Harry had witnessed Dumbledore's death, and that Snape was the one who killed him.

Athena couldn't come close to understanding any of it, she couldn't fathom the idea of betrayal. Dumbledore was the one person who truly believed Snape was good, and if Snape was willing to betray him- after all Dumbledore had done for him, then Athena didn't know how much she truly believed in loyalty anymore.

The girl looked back up at Fred, who had still been looking at Athena, eyes wide with worry. "I'll be fine, Freddie. Thank you." Athena said with a smile, pressing her lips against his cheek.

The couple was yet to announce their engagement. Nobody was aware of Fred's proposal- as he was set to do it much later in the summer, and nobody knew Athena had said yes either. Both Fred and Athena wanted to tell their family and friends desperately and share the joyful news with them all, but they couldn't help but feel as if it wasn't the best time to say anything, especially with the somber mood they all had been feeling.

Athena would also be lying if she said that the idea of the family knowing didn't scare her. She knew that Fred had gotten approval from Remus and Sirius- meaning they were okay with them getting married not only so young but in the midst of a war. However, Athena couldn't help but worry if Molly would disapprove.
