There I Go Again

Chapter 39

By the time Kassie had made her way

out the door the cameras had followed her out with Clarissa. She sat

down on the sidewalk putting her head in her hands crying.

"I just don't understand it. I

don't get it. I can't get it. I just can't deal with it,

Clarissa. He isn't who I was with last time. He's not my Bruno

anymore. He's someone else's." she stood up turning around

walking toward the car. Before she could get to the car Bruno stopped

in front of her. She punched him on the shoulder trying to get him to

move out of her way. He stood right in front of her trying to hug

her.

"Kassie....stop...stop...please,

Kittie. Stop..." he told her as she put her head on his shoulder.

"Will y'all give us a second,

please?" he asked the camera guy. He heard Nick's voice in his

ear. "We'll leave, but keep your mic on..."

"Kassandra, listen to him please..."

she heard in her ear. Mary was trying to calm her down.

He wiped her make-up off her cheek as

she looked up at him.

"Bruno...you aren't who you used

to be. You aren't the Bruno I want. Where did he go? The one that

only looks at me that way...the one that wouldn't leave my side

when we go out? The one that sings songs about me...and looks at me

when he sings? When you find him tell him to call me, please." she

said trying to move away from him.

"Kassandra....stop. Just please. Her

name is Stacy. She's Danny's assistant. She gave me this..." he

said pulling out a piece of paper. She took it from his hand reading

it over.

"They're signing you?" she

asked.

"No. But we're going to be writing

and producing some songs. I had to sign it before midnight. I

couldn't get down there in time. She put it in the mail..." he

told her.

"Why didn't you tell me about

this?"

"I wasn't sure that it was going

to work. I didn't want to tell you anything before I knew it was

really going to happen." he told her.

"Why was she all slutty and with her

hoochie friends?" Kassie asked.

"She had a bachelorette party to go

to after this...I was buying her sister a drink before they went

out...."

"You're such a liar. But I'm

going to believe you." she smiled at him.

"Why would I lie about that, Kass?"

he asked her still perplexed by her lack of trust.

"Because her name was Sexy in your

phone..."

"Please...she added it in there. "

he responded. She rolled her eyes.

"When are you going to learn to

trust me, Kassandra?" he asked her.

"When you show me that you aren't

fucking all the girls in your phone. " she answered him.

He pulled his phone out pressing the

delete button on all the recent additions. She smiled at him knowing

he was sincere.

After he finished Kassie took a hold

of her mic turning it off. She looked at him motioning with her eyes

to turn it off.

"You are so amazing." he said

hugging her. "I love you."

"I love you, too." she said

kissing him.

Kassie fell onto Bruno's couch later

that night.

"You were so fucking amazing,

Kittie." he told her sitting on the couch next to her playing with

her fingers.

"I couldn't have done it without

Stacy." she laughed.

"Yeah..she did give you a killer

look when you stepped in between us." she told him.

"I wanted to hug her afterwards. Did

they end up staying?"

"I don't know. I deleted all my

contacts, remember?" he told her.

"You did not really delete them,

Bruno..." she responded.

"Kittie..." he started.

"You're right, I didn't." he

laughed.

"You're amazing, B. " she

answered putting her head on his lap closing her eyes to fall asleep.

"Kass?" he asked her after playing

with her hair for a little bit.

"Yeah..." she said keeping her

eyes closed.

"Mahal kita." he finished kissing

her on the head.
