A/n- HOWDY
I have a ⚠️Gravity Falls x Reader Book⚠️ in my drafts and this is the first chapter so I thought I'd put it out there for you guys to check it out ((:
"Mom, don't make me leave for the entire summer! Please!" You cried, shielding her from placing a pile of folded clothes into your bag.
"(Y/n)! Don't be like this! It's not for the entire summer, you're only there for most of it." She tried to maneuver around you and you scoffed.
"Oh, I'm sorry. My mistake!" Your voice dropped with sarcasm, and your mom rolled her eyes.
"Honey, I'm doing you a favor. You need more friends-"
"I have friends!" You cried defensively,
"You have no plans this summer-"
"I wanted to finish a book!" You pouted, and again you were ignored.
"And Gravity Falls is an amazing place for vacation! You'll learn to enjoy nature and the people around you!"
"I enjoy nature..." You mumbled falling back and letting her pack your bag.
"Besides, there will be tons of handsome boys..." Your mom sang, and you hissed.
"Men are the draft of the human species. They're messy, immature, and not finalized."
"Hm, you really need to get out of this house." Your mother rolled her eyes and you let out a huff, "You almost sounded mature for a bit."
"I'll take that as a complement, Mother." You scowled, then sighed, "Promise me, and I mean promise me...that this...Gravity Falls place will be fun."
Your mom squealed, "Yes, Dear, I promise you! Oh I wish I could come, but your mom here has a few job interviews set up..."
"Yeah, yeah whatever. Good luck with those." You grumbled, continuing to pack your bags.
The week went by with a blur, and so did the next. Before you knew it, you were sitting on a bus, furiously texting your friends. Your four bags were sprawled across the seat and you lay relaxing against one that sat against the bus window.
It felt like hours before you slid to a stop, and the bus driver yelled, "Gravity Falls! Please get out now if you are going to Camp, the bus is waiting for you a few blocks down."
You sat up with a groan and collected your bags, running a hand through your hair as you tipped the driver and hopped off. Well, struggled to get off with your backpack, two suitcases, and duffle bag.
You took in your surroundings and let a small smile take place on your lips. It was pretty nice, you admitted to yourself, and hurriedly walked in the direction you were pointed to.
When you saw the blue bus painted with green trees and the words "Camp Gravity Falls" you sighed breathlessly and swiftly walked over to it.
After dropping off your bags, you climbed onto the bus, gaping at the crowded seats, "Sit down, girl, were leaving now." The bus woman called, her brown hair stringy. She was an older woman, and sat chewing on a piece of gum.
"Yes, ma-"
You were cut of as she hit the gas and you fell backwards, you stumbled into a seat, falling into someone who let out an 'oof'.
You sat up with a wince, looking at the lucky person you had recently rammed into.
"I am so sorry!" You cried, an the brunette looked up from his book with a startled look. He looked around your age, seventeen.
If it was possible, his eyes grew even wider and his face grew pink as he fumbled around moving his belongings to make room for you, "U-uh no it's my fault-"
"-It's not your fault at all." You giggled, "Mind if I sit here?" You asked, and he nodded quickly, scooting over even more. You sat up and fixing your backpack, and he breathlessly chucked.
"...I'm Dipper, by the way." He put a hand out quickly and you grabbed it unhesitantly.
"(Y/n)." You smiled, "Are you from around h-"
You were cut of once more when he bus stopped abruptly, causing you and Dipper to both looked up at the doors.
A tall, thin, blonde walked on, his face pink from running but a smirk on it never less. His skin was tan, and he held himself with confidence. You couldn't tell his age but he looked a year older then you. All the girls were starring at him, smirking as they fixed they're hair, or just turning a bright red.
"Well, hello, Cecilia! Beautiful day, out her in Oregon, if I do say so myself!" He cried joyfully, winking at the bus driver.
"You're late." The woman, Cecilia, spit, and she harshly pulled the bus doors shut.
The blonde just shrugged, and started walking down the isle. His eyes, landed on you, and his smirk deepened. He flicked his sunglasses down so they fell over his eyes as he stalked down the isle.
He fell softly into the seat in front of you, and rested his hands on the seats back, placing his chin in his hands.
"Hello, Toots, what brings a girl like you to Gravity Falls?" He purred, and you raised an eye at his action.
Dipper glowered, about to say something before looking at you and then back at his book.
"Um...going to camp, if it isn't obvious." You answered, and he chuckled.
"But why this camp? If you were from around here I'd recognize you!"
"Because you know everyone?" You scrunched you face, and he shrugged innocently.
"Nope, cause a face like yours wouldn't be forgotten."
You blushed, but rolled your eyes, "Nice, flirting with the new girl. I've seen this before."
Before the blonde could answer, someone jumped into the small space left on your seat.
"Dip-Dip who's this!" She cried, her enthusiasm making you grin.
"Uh...this is (Y/n)...she dropped by." Dipper responded, smiling at his pun.
The blond scoffed, giving both brunettes at your sides a glare before turning around.
"I tripped into this seat but..I also fell for him." You added onto his joke and the girl grinned.
"Cool! I'm Mabel! Me and Dipper are twins and I'm the cooler one and I'm funner so me and you are gonna be best friends and we're going to be awesome friends!"
Dipper began to correct her grammar mistakes, but you and Mabel ignored him.
You giggled at her and nodded, "Okay, Mabel."
The ride was filled with the conversation of you and Mabel. Dipper would occasionally comment on your volume or give commentary on the topic, and the blonde would constantly turn to start flirting.
For example, when Mabel asked what town you were from he answered with "She's obviously from Heaven...because she's an angel!" And you would redden and roll you eyes.
The bus rolled to a stop, everyone started moving around, creating a chaotic chatter as everyone got off the bus.
"Yes, two months of nature!" A loud, gruff voice hooted and Mabel let out a squeal, running towards a manly looking girl and a small girl with large glasses.
"Grenda! Candy!" Mabel cried, halting right in front of them before they all trampled each other in a huge hug.
You smiled, and turned to Dipper, glad to be off the suffocating bus.
"If I were you I'd pray we don't get grouped with them...they drive me nuts." He laughed, and you let out a small giggle.
"At least she's here with good friends..."
"Hey, you've got me!" He elbowed you, and when you looked back at him thankfully he reddened, "I-I mean-"
"-Pine Tree, are you blushing?" A voice called, and you rolled your eyes.
Dipper narrowed his eyes and turned, turning even redder, "What are you even doing here, Bill?"
"Going to camp, of course! Why, is something wrong?" The blonde, Bill, said innocently and you eyed the two.
"What on Earth does a dem-" Dipper froze and looked back at you, "-anding person like you need to be at camp for?"
Bill smirked at this, "Very good question, Pine Tree!"
You gave them both a questioning look before slowly backing away and walking to Mabel.
"Girls, this is (Y/n)!" Mabel suddenly cried, grabbing your arm and pulling you over to them.
"Sup..." You smiled, and they all grinned.
"Hi, (Y/n)! I'm Grenda!" The taller girl said, and you found out she was the one with the gruff voice.
"And I'm Candy!" The small, thin girl said.
"Nice to meet y-"
"She's so pretty!" Grenda yelled, grabbing your hair and running her hands through it, and soon Candy did also.
"Girls, girls! Leave her alone!" Mabel laughed, pulling you away and you thanked her shakily.
"We should all get dorms together! That'll be so much fun!"
You smiled awkwardly, Lord, please no...
