You quickly swam towards the location in which your amazing battle was.
You lingered in the cavern, staring into the dark waters ahead.
"Well, someone wanted to see me." You heard his chuckle and quickly turned just in time to see his tentacles wrap around your tail, pulling you closer to him.
"You need to stop sneaking up on people-" He cut you off by slowly kissing your neck."Haha, no." You shoved him and he frowned.
"Well, Love, why are you here." He smirked again, and you huffed.
"I honestly don't know..." You answered truthfully and he let out a proud hum.
"It's called attraction, Darling." He rolled his eyes, and you scowled.
"You're the one clinging onto me, Mister."
"But you're not complaining." He stated, and it was your turn to roll your eyes.
"I will admit you're attractive, but I regret coming here so would you let me go!" You snapped, and he chuckled.
"If I let you go you'd leave..."
"So?"
"I don't want you to leave, obviously."
"You are so annoying-"
"-You mean intriguing." He stated, smirking.
"Yes, I'll agree with you there. You definitely are interesting."
"Why, thank you, my dear-"
"I mean...you're a purple merman with tentacles." You elbowed him and he let go, and you crossed your arms moving away.
"I've learned to embrace it, Darling." He said matter-a-factly and you snorted.
"Wish it was that easy, Hun."
He let out a laugh at this and you raised an eyebrow. "When you're as lonely as I am, you've had time to embrace it." He smirked, and you snickered.
"Okay, sure."
"You don't believe me? I mean, look at me, I'm gorgeous." He gestured towards his body.
"I won't disagree there." You giggled, running a hand through your hair and looking away from him. He smirked, satisfied. "I...better get going." You rubbed your bare arms, smiling at him, "It was, um-nice to talk to you without you trying to strangle my friends."
He rolled his eyes but chuckled, "Next time, just say thank you."
"Next time?" You raised an eyebrow and he frowned.
"You...are coming back, right?" He asked, and you laughed.
"Yeah...yeah I'll be coming back."
He grinned as you started to swim off , "Good. And (Y/n)..." You looked back at him, tilting your head. "Call me, Ursulan."
And that's how it worked for seven months, you visiting Ursulan weekly, and building an amazing relationship. Until, you got into an argument. You were both stubborn, it's bond to happen sometime.
"You! Are so stupid! I hope I never see you again!"
He bit his lip and nodded, "Well, I am happy to say I won't see you again!"
You scrunched your face, "That's fantastic."
"Oh, come on, Dear. Why would I fall in love with you?" Ursulan snapped, and you scoffed.
"When did I ask?" You responded, "I never even showed hints of me being interested!"
"Oh, for sure, Darling, it's just attraction."
"Would you shut up?"
"I want you to leave my territory, now. I don't want to be in the presence of something so hideous any longer." He crossed his arms, growling.
"Trust me, it would be my pleasure!" You glowered, swiftly turning to swim away.
"Great!"
You ignored this comment, swimming away as fast as you could, "And maybe, sense your lonely, and forever will be, think about this. Maybe there's a reason no one loves you! And I can't believe I even got close to having slight interest in you." With that you swam off, leaving Ursulan flustered, annoyed, and furious.

It had been years since you had communicated, and both of you hated that. He sat lazily for days thinking about you, and you had done the same. And just when you had almost gotten over him, your red head friend had ran off with actual feet. How? Because someone had made a deal with her. And that's when you had to go swimming after her. You entered the cavern, your face red and your heart racing.
"(Y/n)!" A voice cried in surprise, and you flinched at the loud clank of fallen potions.
"Hi." You stated, "Are you sick or something? Why'd you let Ariel go onto the land!"
"Calm, down, Darling! How-how are you! I-I-"
"Ursulan! I swear if you try to ignore this!"
His face dropped into a frown and a glare.
"Because, if she doesn't win the bargain, I get the power, easy as that." Ursulan rolled his eyes, slowly moving closer to him.
"You are so-"
"Intriguing?" He smirked, and you growled.
"No."
"Gorgeous?"
"No!"
"Handsome?"
"I swear, just as I thought I missed you!" You hissed, crossing your arms and his smirk immediately dropped.
After a few moments of silence, he broke it, "I'll make a deal..." You rolled your eyes, but as the silenced continued you answered.
"I'm listening." You said cautiously, and he smirked, glad your attention was caught.
"I'll make you human so you can go save your friend, but you need to start visiting me again." He grinned, and your face showed full surprise.
"Why do you want me to start visiting? Does it actually have feelings?" You taunted, then pursed your lips, "Deal."
He handed you a paper and you gingerly signed it, Ursulan grinning the entire time.
"Oh, and you might need this." He handed you a long piece of cloth and you raised an eyebrow.
"Why-"
Before you knew it, your tail had disappeared and you were chocking on the water. Is this a normal thing for humans? Do they choke on water this much? How do they breath? Oh yeah...
Ursulan's eyes widened in realization and he swiftly grabbed your waist and swam to the shore. When you finally broke to the surface, you gasped harshly for air.
"What the heck was that?" You asked, and he smirked. You glared at him, before realizing what he was smirking at and quickly pulled the cloth, which you were clutching the entire time, over you. "You're such a pervert."

"So, I walk on these..." You questioned, trying to stand up on the sandy surface.
"No, you use them to eat." Ursulan responded sarcastically and you laughed nonchalantly.
"Thanks, Mister." You rolled your eyes, but stood up. You grinned when you were balanced, and Ursulan smirked.
"Okay, now try actually walking on them." He called, and you glared, putting a foot in front of the other.
You had one arm out the entire time, but didn't fall once. Ursulan watched the entire time, watching as you quickly learned. "I've got this." You nodded, "Where's Ariel?"
He smirked, and pointed at a castle you hadn't even noticed was there. You narrowed your eyes, tied the cloth at the side so you didn't have to hold it up, and started towards it.
"(Y/n)!" You looked back surprised and he smiled nervously, "Please be carful..."
You nodded slowly, smiling softly and then started walking again. You had been found even before you were at the palace by a man and his dog. The man questioned you, asking if there was a shipwreck, which you said yes too, and asked for your name. The most shocking part was when he asked if you had a red head friend, which you nodded repeatedly too.
"She's in here..." The man, which you found out was Prince Eric, said as he opened the door.
He had allowed you to change and you wore a white dress that was tight at the chest but bloomed into a large skirt that came below your knees. Ariel turned, and smiled, waving her hands spastically and running over to you. She jumped into your arms and you fell over, laughing.
"Nice to see you, too!" You giggled, and she nodded, "But we need to get back."
She frowned and shook her head, and you tilted your chin. She began throwing her arms around dramatically, and that's when you realized her voice was gone. And blah blah blah, the story goes on and on for three days, boring boring boring until you got back.You sat next to Ariel who was sat humming, she had gotten Eric to kiss her, and she had promised to come back.
Thank God Ursulan hadn't ruined it, but you were now to visit him again. And so you did, it was awkward at first. Extremely awkward. But after a few visits of doing nothing but quietly adding a word or two when it was silent, you began to talk again. And soon enough, you would swim in and smile at him.
Your relationship began to build once more, and after several months, you swam in to see him clutching something behind his back.
"What's that...?" You came in and sat near to him, and he jumped.
"(Y/n)...I uh...I was just-"
"Hmm-"
"-We've known each other for a long time...and I really like you...(Y/n), I like you a lot.."
You smiled, "I like you too, Ur-"
"No...I don't like you like that...I-I...I love you."
You starred at him, wide eyes as he continued closer.
"And I know I'm the villain of the ocean...the monster of the sea...but it would be the greatest thing if you'd take my hand in marriage." He was now in front of you, holding out a clam then held a pearl ring.
You put your hands to your mouth, watching him in shock. "Seriously?" You cried, and he smiled.
"Y-yeah..." He breathed, and you laughed.
"Yes, you stupid Guppy, I'll marry you."
He sighed breathlessly, and you pulled him into a tight hug. "Wow..." He mumbled, grinning as you embraced him, before clearing his throat and adding, "I mean...cool."
You shoved him back and frowned, "Cool? We're now engaged and you just say, 'Cool?'"
