Chapter - 18

Rudra's POV:

Nowadays life is really hectic for me. I know I chose it but sometimes you want peace just for a few days.

I am struggling with my dream company project so I have to put in extra hours. I can't let this business lack because of my dreams. I promised dad that I would never let my family business go down for my dreams.

So keeping my promise I am putting extra effort into everything. The meetings are continuous that I could not have time for having a meal sometimes.

I feel bad for Aadhya that I can't spend time with her. I wanted to be with her but my work in not allowing me. I know she feels bad but she never shows it.

Today I thought to meet her but my plan changed as the important investor has scheduled a meeting in the evening. I was preparing for all this that I did not get time to message her.

I took the investors to the meeting room and it was going for a few hours. I looked at the clock and it was 8 at night.

I was thinking of meeting Aadhya at her home or at least calling her but my plan changed when the investor invited me for dinner.

I exited the conference room and went to my office. As I twisted the door knob and entered the office I felt so good.

I was going towards my desk when something caught my eye. You can rather say it was someone. There was Aadhya sleeping on my sofa. At first, I thought I was dreaming but when I went towards her and touched her she was real.

She was really here. I got excited but I remembered about the dinner. Looking at her sleeping figure I was just admiring her beauty. 

I bend to her level and put the hair falling on her face at the back of her ear. I kissed her forehead and went outside.

"When did she come?" I asked my secretary.

"Sir I think it was around 4 hours" she replied.

"Why I was not informed about her arrival? I asked angrily.

"Sir you were in an important meeting so I thought not to disturb you" she replied in fear.

"Next time she comes inform me. I don't care how important a meeting is. Am I clear?" I asked her. She just nods her head. I know she was unaware of what to do so I let go of the matter for now.

I went to the conference room and asked the investors about postponing the dinner. They agreed to my wish. I happily went towards my office and informed my driver to get the car ready.

I wanted to wake her up but she was looking so cute that I decided to take her to the car. I picked her up in the bridal style and went towards the car.

She stirred a little but soon was engulfed into sleep. I just shook my head at her behavior. She is such a heavy sleeper.

Everyone was present in the office and was looking at us with their mouth wide open. I know for them it is strange to see me like this with any girl. I avoid PDA in public but for my queen, I can do anything.

I thought of taking her to my house but then thought to take her to my penthouse. I know she won't be comfortable meeting my parents like this. I need to prepare her before taking her to meet them. I don't have a problem taking her now also but I know her anxiety will kick in if I do it now.

After a few minutes of the ride, I reached my penthouse. I asked the driver to open the door and gave him the key to the penthouse.

Entering the penthouse I straight went to my room. I tucked her into the bed and removed her heels. I thought of changing her dress but dropped the idea.

She was looking so cute sleeping in my bed. I always wanted to get up with this scene. I took out my phone and clicked her photo. In one photo she has a hand in her face while another photo was of our hands.

I have got this weird habit of saving her pictures in my gallery. Shaking all my thoughts away I went to take a shower.
