"How's everyone doing today?" I asked, into the microphone.

The audience yelled back something along the lines of good.

"I've decided that I'm going to sing a song that many of you may know," I began, "So without further ado I present my cover of More Than This."

"So Maya it's really good to see you," Mindy said, hugging me.

"It's really great to see you again," I replied.

Mindy smiled, "Once my viewers found out I was in California they were tweeting me about how I needed to get you on the show."

"I feel like you come into town just so that you can interview me," I laughed.

"I do have you on every time that I'm here or your back in New York," She began, "Speaking of New York when was the last time you were there?"

Shawn's funeral.

Great now I have to explain everything to a bunch of people who I don't even know.

"I..I was actually there less than a week ago. Shawn, the man who took me in after my mom died, just passed away from cancer."

Mindy took my hand and gave it a squeeze, "I'm so sorry for your loss."

"Thanks. He had been struggling with it for a while so I knew he only had a little bit of time left. He used that time up well though and I know that he died with no regrets."

"One can only dream about leaving behind a life with no regrets."

Shawn lived an amazing life with amazing people who always supported him.

I nodded my head and wiped away a tear that was forming.

"So Maya a lot of rumours have been floating around about you lately," Mindy said, "Do you care to explain any of them?"

"I'll try my best."

"So two days ago you were see hanging out with Joshua Matthews who happens to be your ex."

Great they know about Josh and I.

"Yes we were actually hanging out at a club together."

"Is he still dating that girl?" Mindy asked.

I shook my head, "No they actually broke up a while ago."

"Oh. Can I ask about the picture someone took of you guys kissing?"

I mentally face palmed myself.

"Well I guess the cats out of the bag," I joked.

Mindy asked, "So is the picture real?"

I looked over to Josh in the audience and he just hid his face.

I sighed, "Yes the picture is real."

The audience let out a weird gasp, because none of them know about Lucas and I breaking up.

"So I'm assuming that this means you and Lucas broke up?" Mindy asked.

Everyone was about to know the truth.
I guess they wouldn't know the whole truth, but they would know that we stopped dating.

I nodded my head, "We actually broke up a few days ago. Things just weren't working out with our relationship. We are both on different paths right now and we just want different things. He actually moved away a few days ago."

"Where did he move to?"

"I think he's moving somewhere for school, but I'm not really sure at the moment."

I did know where he was going, but I didn't want the press to know.

"Well since you and Lucas broke up does that mean you and Josh will start a relationship up again?"

"No. We actually both agreed that we are much better as friends."

"So as of now your single?"

"Yup."

"Well folks you heard it here Maya Hart is single and ready to mingle."

I'm definitely not ready to mingle.

Why would I want another guy to break my already broken heart?
