The GMW gang is in their senior year of high school. Maya finally feels like her life is together: her grades and SAT scores were excellent, and her heart is set on Juilliard. Until one night, a couple months before high school graduation, she runs into Josh. They haven't spoken much since they agreed to play the long game, but feelings are reignited. Will Josh still be willing to play the long game? Will Maya?

This is a Girl Meets World fanfiction. Riley, Maya, Josh, Lucas, Farkle and Zay are going to Hawaii together and it will be one big adventure. This story will be about Rucas and Joshaya. In the beginning, none of these ships are already a couple(Riley and Lucas' in the subway kiss hasn't happened and everything in the Ski Lodge episode hasn't either). After Lucas chooses Riley, they start to distance themselves from the group more and more as time goes on. As the group is now only Smackle, Farkle, Zay and Maya they begin to drift apart as well. However, certain circumstances bring the group back together but alot of things have changed. Maya begins to date Ben (Mitchell Hope), Zay is now known as the schools biggest flirt, Smackles priorities have changed and Farkle is the coolest guy.

Maya and Lucas have been together for four years alongside their best friends, Riley and Farkle. But when Maya's big secret is revealed, and Lucas struggles with what he wants, her secret admirer, Josh, returns home with all the certainty in his heart. Leaving Maya baffled with it all.

Maya and Josh have known each other for a lifetime but the only thing that he doesn't know is how she really does feel about him. When he gets more involved with her and sees the true her how will his feelings change towards the young girl?

So in the start of this story Riley, Maya, Farkle, Lucas, and Smakle are in eighth grade. Then throughout the book they face life challenges such as break ups, losses, and mess ups. Though through it all they have each other.

A few months have passed since Josh and Maya agreed to stick it out for "the long game". Now that they've both had some time to think, waiting it out doesn't seem quite as appealing as it had that night at the ski lodge.
