Eᴘɪsᴏᴅᴇ 6 ~ Iʀᴏɴ Sɪsᴛᴇʀs

Outside the Adamant Citadel, Alisha, Izzy and Clary are standing on the little bridge that goes into the pure energy pool. All the sisters are watching them. Clary and Izzy have changed into little white dresses whereas Alisha is still in her black leather jeans and jacket and white crop top from before since she refused to do the trial because of her demon blood - scared of what would happen to her if she set foot inside of the pool.
"Clary, you can't do this." Isabelle suddenly says. Alisha turns to look at the Lightwood with a small frown, slightly confused.
"Why not?" Clary asks, just as confused as the hybrid.
"You heard her. It's dangerous." Izzy comments making Clary give her a reassuring smile.
"The water only affects demonic energy. We'll be fine." She states, beginning to walk towards the water.
"But what if it's not fine?" Izzy asks, stopping Clary from moving forwards.
"You think I have demon blood. Like Jace." Clary scoffs and Izzy gives her a guilty look. "There's only one way to find out." Confidently, she walks down the stairs, and Magdalena stands next to Izzy and Alisha. The hybrid grips Izzy's hand, knowing she was only worried about the Fairchild. Clary lays down in the pool, facing the sky.
"Ignis aurum probat." Magdalena says and suddenly the water begins to bubble. Alisha and Izzy watch closely, ready to intervene if something bad happens. After a few seconds, a sparkling light surrounds Clary making the two shadowhunters let out a breath they didn't know they were holding. "Clary Fairchild, you are deemed clear of all demonic impurities." Magdalena informs everyone. Clary walks out of the pool, her dress now soaking wet. Alisha smiles at Clary as Isabelle walks into the pool, lying down just like Clary was before. "Ignis aurum probat." Magdalena repeats just as the water begins to bubble and a sparkling light goes all around Isabelle. Just as everyone thinks it's all okay, the water begins to turn black and starts bubbling more aggressively. Izzy gasps in pain making Alisha groan slightly. Cleophas looks at her worriedly but then noticed the black parabatai rune on her collar bone.
"Izzy! No!" Clary and Alisha shout. The hybrid quickly runs down into the water with Clary by her side.
"Alisha!" Cleophas shouts, knowing her demon blood will only make it all worse but the hybrid ignores her, too focused on saving Izzy to give a damn about herself.
"Give me your hand." Clary says to Izzy as the girls notice her head is beginning to go underwater. Izzy grips Alishas arm - the hybrid was right beside her in the water. Magdalena and Cleophas give each other a look after seeing the water not giving the same reaction to Alisha as they thought it would."Come on!" Clary shouts desperately as she and Alisha pull Izzy out of the water. The Lightwood stands up and holds on to the bridge and Alishas upper arm.
"Izzy, are you okay?" Alisha asks whilst Clary asks: "What happened?"
"I have no idea." Izzy responds to Clary's question. She turns and meets the worried gaze of Alisha. After giving her a nod to tell her she's okay, they all turn back to the iron sisters.
"The water does not lie... but perhaps you do." Magdalena accuses making the three girls frown at her.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Isabelle stutters, still slightly shaken up.
"You are tainted with demonic impurities." Magdalena states slightly harshly.
"I'm sorry, Isabelle. We can't let you inside the Citadel." Cleophas comments guiltily.
"No, this has to be a mistake. She has a demon wound, maybe that's what the water reacted to, but she's fine now. She's healed." Clary rambles whilst Alisha rubs Izzy's back in attempt to comfort her.
"The water doesn't lie." Magdalena repeats from before. There's a moment of silence until Cleophas speaks up.
"Alisha, the water didn't react to your demon blood." She comments. The hybrid frowns, not seeing how it's important.
"So? It was probably too busy with Isabelle." She states but Cleophas shakes her head.
"The trial was still happening, meaning the water would have had the same reaction to you as it had to Isabelle." Cleophas comments.
"Meaning what exactly?" Alisha asks.
"Meaning you must have pure angel blood." Alisha looks down, finally realising that Valentine wasn't lying.
"What?" Clary and Izzy ask in unison.
"That is the only explanation." Magdalena says with a small smile.
"It's why you still have your shadowhunter side but your brothers do not." Cleophas says.
"Wait. How do you know about her brothers?" Clary asks confused.
"I used to come here when I was younger. I'll tell you later." Alisha says and then turns back to Cleophas.
"You can enter the citadel with your friend Clary." Magdalena says.
"But Izzy." Alisha begins.
"You are free to leave, if that is what you desire." Magdalena comments.
"No." Izzy turns to Clary. "You two go ahead. We need answers." Clary nods and goes with Cleophas, while Izzy stays behind with Magdalena.
"Your friend has no idea, does she? Yin fen permeates your body. Vampire venom churns through your veins." Magdalena comments when the three Shadowhunters are out of earshot.
"What?" Izzy asks, extremely confused.
"You didn't know?" Magdalena says. "Yin fen is made from vampire venom."
"I was injured. It was given to me so I could heal quickly." Izzy says.
"Yin fen will not heal you. Be careful." Magdalena says genuinely.
It's nighttime in the woods as Jason, Isaac, Simon and Maia continue to look for Luke. Simon holds a flashlight as they walk around the eerie woods.
"Full disclosure, I'd rather be hunting in the woods of Far Cry 3." Maia comments making the two other werewolves Chucky slightly.
"Really? I just never would have pegged you for a gamer." Simon says.
"When I first Turned, I'd spend hours playing video games. Just me and endless bags of potato chips. I was terrified to go out. Afraid that I would hurt someone. That I wouldn't be able to control myself." Maia says.
"Well, you seem very in control now. At least, as far as I can tell." Simon states.
"You wait till she's angry." Isaac comments earning a nudge in the ribs from his brother.
"Yeah, well, thank Luke for that." Maia says, ignoring the youngest Lotova brother. After another few minutes of walking, Simon sniffs around.
"You smell that?" He asks and everyone nods.
"Blood." Maia comments, catching onto the scent just like Jason and Isaac.
"This way." Jason states as he follows the smell of blood. They find a dead dear with blood soaked skin. Simon grimaces.
"Oh, no. Are, are those..." the vampire trails off.
"Claw marks." Maia finishes, sharing a concerned moon with the other werewolves.
