The four shadowhunters are back in the institute, after being unsuccessful in finding Valentine in the cabin at Lake Lyn. When they got there, there was signs of people being there before but they just left once the group got there. Alisha now sits in Alec's office with Jace, Alec, Izzy and Clary surrounding her. They are trying to understand how far Alisha can go with her new telepathic powers. The hybrid sits in a chair in the middle of the room, a chair placed opposite her.
"How are we gonna do this?" Alisha questions anyone.
"We'll try Jace and Clary first, seeing if you can do it with people with pure angel blood and then see if you can do it with people without pure angel blood. Okay?" Alec ask and Alisha nods.
"Okay, let's try it." Alisha says.
"We already know she can communicate with me so try and do it with Clary." Jace says and Clary sits on the chair opposite the hybrid. Staring at the red head, Alisha tries to get inside her head. Her eyes flash a golden colour.
Clary? She thinks, still having eye contact with the girl. The Fairchild nods with a smile.
Hi. She hears Clary think making her smile as well.
"It works." She states and the others nod.
"So it has something to do with your angel blood." Izzy states as she takes Clary's place on the chair opposite her. The two stare at each other as Alisha attempts to get inside Izzy's mind. The others watch carefully. What catches their attention is how Alisha becomes physically drained. Jace looks at Alec who is watching his girlfriend with a concerned look.
"Alisha?" He questions but the girl ignores him. "Iz, stop." He says referring to the eye contact. Izzy quickly turns to look at her brother. Suddenly, Alisha's eyes flash golden.
Iz? She questions and Izzy turns back to her parabatai.
Stop doing this. She states making Alisha snap out of it. She turns to look at Alec whose watching her carefully.
"I'm fine." She says after seeing everyone concerned looks. "Just tired. Can we try this again tomorrow, I don't think I can do it any longer today." The group nod.
"Of course." Alec states as he walks over to his girlfriend, helping her stand up.
"So it worked with Izzy?" Jace asks before she leaves. The hybrid nods. "It just drained you?" The hybrid nods once more.
"Okay, well we'll try again tomorrow." Clary says offering the girl a reassuring smile. "You'll get better at it."
"Thank you." She smiles and walks off to Alec's room as they now usually sleep in his room.
"Are you okay?" He asks her as soon as they get inside. Alisha nods her head with a small smile.
"Just tired." She says and Alec nods.
"Can I ask you something?" Alec asks his girlfriend unsurely who nods at him whilst sitting on the bed. "We've been together for a while now, almost a year, and I thought that this might be a good thing." Alec goes down on one knee. This immediately makes Alisha sit forwards quickly. She opens her mouth to object but Alec stops her. "I'm not proposing." He states and Alisha smiles slightly. "I researched some mundane traditions." Alisha smiles at that. It makes her happy, knowing that he's put his dislike of mundanes aside just for her.He pulls out a small black velvet box. He opens it to reveal a silver ring. She examines it with an awe filled gasp. It's a little silver arrow that twists around so it's a ring. She smiles at it. "They call it a promise ring. So I thought I'd try." He says and looks up at his girlfriend. "I promise to never lie to you again. I promise to replace this ring with an engagement ring one day. I promise to love you forever, even when we're old and watching our grandkids in their first mission. I will always be by your side, no matter what obstacles come our way, I promise to always be yours as you always will be mine." By the end of his speech, both of them were in tears. Alec takes the ring from the box's and gestures Alisha's hand which immediately goes towards him, letting the archer place the ring on her left ring finger. Once it was on the girl immediately kisses him forcefully.
"I love you so much Alexander Lightwood." She says after pulling away.
"I love you too Alisha Céline Herondale." He says and the pair begin to make out heavily again. After a while, she tugs on his shirt, telling him she wants it off. Pulling away for a second, he discards his shirt and then begins to take off Alisha's after making sure she was okay with this, before tearing off both of their clothes.
