Alisha and Isabelle are sparring in the training room. The hybrid holds back slightly, not wanting to hurt Izzy after the whole demon situation. Izzy kicks the hybrids side making her stumble slightly. She frowns when she notices the younger Lightwood move her shoulder, her face showing into pain.

"You okay?" She breathes out, looking over at Izzy. She waves the hybrid off.

"Fine. But I should be asking you that." Isabelle says softly looking at the girl whose like a sister to her. Alisha rolls her eyes. "I know you don't want to talk about it, but if that somehow changes just know I'm always here."

"I know." Alisha smiles just as Jace walks in. "How's Clary?" Her words make both shadowhunters frown. Didn't she just scream at her? They both think but quickly shrug it off, knowing Alisha won't say anything.

"She's with Alec, I thought to let them talk." Jace says and Alisha smiles slightly with a nod.

"Okay, well I'm going to take a shower." She turns to Izzy. "Take it easy." Izzy rolls her eyes but smiles at the concern. After Alisha had left, both Jace and Izzy grabs some Bo staffs and begin to train.

"Aldertree can't bench you." Izzy says, knowing that Aldertree said Jace can't go on any missions. He rolls his eyes.

"He already did." They continue to train.

"Do you think Alishas okay? I've never seen her cry like that before." Izzy murmurs, still blocking Jace's hits.

"I don't know. Even on Valentine's ship, she never broke down like that." Jace replies and goes to hit Izzy's side but she quickly blocks it.

"Jocelyn's death hit them both equally, even though someone doesn't see it." Izzy mutters the last part but Jace still heard it.

"Your blaming Clary? Her mom just died Iz." He says and hits her arm with the staff.

"So did Alishas, she could at least act like she cares." Jace suddenly pins Izzy against a pillar in the room.

"Come on, Iz. This is way too easy." Jace says cockily.

"Don't get cocky." She pushes him off of her and they continue fighting. Jace floors Izzy but she grabs her shoulder with a look of pain on her face. Jace looks at her concerned.

"You all right?" He questions and she nods slightly though he doesn't believe it. "It's the demon wound, isn't it, on your back? Look, if the runes aren't healing it, you need to get it fixed."

"I'll see a medic later. Relax." Izzy states.

"Might wanna see him now. They're sending a team to the Iron Sisters after the Rite of Mourning." Jace comments with a smirk, knowing Izzy loves the Iron Sisters.

"No way." She smiles and Jace smiles.

"You always wanted to be an Iron Sister when you were a kid, huh?" He says and she nods.

"Until I realized I had to swear off boys. When do we leave?" Isabelle questions.

"You're not going anywhere with a wound on your back. Aldertree would never let you." Jace says.

"Aldertree doesn't need to know." Jace picks up a stick from the floor.

"Iz." Izzy turns around and Jace throws the stick at her. She reacts too late and doesn't catch it. "Yeah, good luck with that. Look, Izzy, go and get it checked out. The last thing we need is another one of us sidelined. Okay?"

Aldertree is standing on his balcony in his office. Suddenly, there's a knock on his door and Izzy is let in by a guard. He turns around with a tight smile.

"Isabelle Lightwood. To what do I owe the pleasure?" He asks and she steps forwards.

"I would like to make a formal request to lead the mission to the Iron Sisters." She states and Aldertree raises an eyebrow.

"Weren't you wounded in the demon attack?" He states and she nods.

"Yes, but I'm all healed up now. I feel fine." She says.

"Your wound. May I take a look?" He asks her but she doesn't respond. "You know, I wasn't born a diplomat. I used to be a field medic. Sometimes I wish I still was."He goes to look at her shoulder, but Izzy turns her shoulder away.

"Really, I'm okay." She insists but Alderteee shakes his head.

"I can't let you on the mission without an exam." He says and gestures to a chair. Izzy sighs and sits down. He pulls her hair away from the wound and takes a look. Izzy groans slightly once he touches it gently.

"That's not very pretty, is it? Does it hurt?" He questions and Izzy shakes her head.

"No. Not at all." She answers.

"It looks like a venom infection. Healing runes aren't helping much?" He asks and Izzy shakes her head.

"No." She says.

"Isabelle, in your condition, I can't grant your request." He says remorsefully and Izzy stands up.

"You don't understand. I've waited my whole life to see the Iron Sisters. I can do this." She tries.

"The truth is, you can't do this, Isabelle. Not with a venom infection." Aldertree grabs a little box from above the fireplace. "But there is something that can make the infection go away. Quite quickly, I might add." From the box, Aldertree takes a smaller tin.

"I'll take it." She says enthusiastically.

"It's called yin fen. It's quite strong. I don't usually recommend it, but if this is a mission you're set on making... May I?" He offers and she nods.

"Please." He pulls her hair away and opens up the tin. Isabelle sees its some sort of cream.

"This goes on the spine." When Aldertree puts the cream on her back, a tear rolls from Izzy's eye and she gasps lightly at the sensation.

"How's that?" Aldertee questions even though he knows the answer.

"Amazing." She gasps again.

"I'll give you a tin." He states and Izzy smiles.

"Yeah." She nods her head.

"But use sparingly. A little goes a long way." He warns her and passes her the tin.
