"what are you doing tonight boes?" you asked your friend brock.
you were sat across from him at the restaurant in downtown vancouver that he had been raving about all week.
"i went there last week with the boys and it was so good y/n. we have to go." you remembered him saying.
"oh um, that's what i meant to ask you. chris tanev is having some people over for like a dinner party tonight. i was wondering if you'd like to come with me?" brock asked with a smile on his face.
you had to seriously think about this. you knew you would sort of be an outcast at the party seeing as you only really knew brock. you had met some of his teammates that he was really close with before, but only very briefly.
"please y/n" brock begged with puppy eyes, "i really want you to meet my teammates and i just want you to be there."
you always had a weakness for brock's begging and he definitely used that to his advantage a lot of the time.
"fine brock." you gave in.
"thank you so much y/n." he sighed, "you'll have fun, i swear."
"i sure hope so." you mumbled.
you did want to meet brock's second family, but, to be honest, you were dreading it. you would have to get all dressed up and presentable just for brock to, most likely, ditch you and leave you to make awkward small talk by yourself.
you were stood in front of your closet in your small vancouver apartment trying to decide what to wear. you knew it wasn't too formal or anything so you threw on some jeans and a shirt. you slid on some shoes and walked down to the lobby of your building.
soon enough, brock pulled up and you got in.
"you look beautiful as always." brock smiled.
"thank you brock."
you felt your cheeks begin to heat up. he made you feel like that every time you spent time with him. he always acted so polite and gentleman-like. he wasn't like the boys you often went on dates with, but brock had never shown actual interest in you so you never pursued him. you did have quite the crush on him that you had to hide though.
"you look quite nice too." you complimented back at him.
he shot you a big smile to thank you.
soon you arrived at the tanev household. brock opened the car door open for you. you walked up to the house together and walked in.
"hey boes." chris said with a toothless smile.
"hey tanny. this is y/n." brock introduced you to chris.
