you had never fallen in love before. love was a big and scary concept to you.
you had never been looking for love and that's what brought you right to carter hart.
handsome, funny, and kind were just a few of the many traits that made carter hart so irresistible.
it scared you how your body reacted to his presence around you. you had never ever felt like that before and didn't know what it meant.
carter seemed to walk in at all the right times. he considered you a close friend and had even introduced you to some of the team.
your stomach filled with little flutters as his contact came up on the screen.
you stopped what you were doing and answered the phone.
"hey." you answered, ignoring the lingering feeling in your stomach.
"hey y/n. do you want to go see a movie tonight?" he asked you.
there was a happiness to his tone when he was around you and you always seemed to notice it. he wouldn't fake that he was happy if he was truly upset, but his mood uplifted when he was around you.
"that sounds good to me. i need a break from work anyway." you chuckled and nodded to yourself.
"do you care what movie?" carter asked.
you shook you head, "no, not at all. just get tickets to whatever you're interested in." you told him.
"i'll pick you up at about 7:00." he stated.
"sounds good. see you then carter." you said and hung up.
the feeling that was in your stomach, mind, and heart is only something you had heard of and seen in movies.
you dressed comfortably but still a bit stylishly so you didn't look like a walking zombie.
carter came to you place and got you a little before 7. he drove you both to the movie theatre and you gathered up some snacks and drinks.
"what movie are we watching?" you asked him curiously.
"if i'm being honest with you, i booked an entire theatre and they are going to play a few of our favorite movies." he chuckled
your mouth was wide open, "wow, you are insane carter." you laughed and hit his arm gently.
"anything for you." he smiled.
you both walked into the totally empty theatre and took your favorite seats.
"this is awesome. we never get these seats." you spoke to no one in particular.
"well i'm glad we finally got them." carter smiled.
"well yeah, them and all the rest of the seats in the theatre." you chuckled.
carter shrugged, "it seemed fun. i've never done this before."
"it does seem quite fun. no one to ruin anything." you laughed gently.
carter nodded, "that's for damn sure."
you were excitedly as one of your favorite movies came onto the screen.
you looked over at carter, "you remembered?" you mouthed to him.
he smiled at you and nodded slowly.
you smiled and looked back towards the screen at the movie. it was one of the only movies that could still keep your attention for the 700th time.
"can i have some popcorn?" you asked with a glimmer in your eyes.
"how can i say no? i'll give you some cause i love you." carter said and handed the bowl of popcorn towards you.
you paused suddenly. you had definitely found out what that feeling in your body was when you were around carter hart.
you grabbed his face quickly and pushed his lips against your's. your mouths worked in unison before pulling away with swollen red lips.
love is what you felt with carter hart and it was the perfect first experience.
