morgan had been spending the majority of his time getting his apartment cleaned up and grocery shopping for his new roommate. he didn't want quinn henriksen to think that he was a complete mess. after all he was coming from denmark. morgan would want a nice place to sleep after a long flight, so he would give his new roommate one.

the idea of finishing his cleaning had been spoiled when morgan was invited over to auston's to hang out with some of the boys after skating.

"hey a-matts." morgan said as auston opened the door.

"hey mo." auston greeted as he moved out of the way to let him into the apartment.

morgan walked into the living room to see mitch marner and freddie andersen playing nhl.

"FREDDIE THATS NOT EVEN FAIR" mitch yelled as freddie just shrugged.

tyson barrie was sat next to them quietly laughing at mitch's rage. mo sat down in the empty place next to tyson. auston walked back into the room and sat next to freddie.

"excited for your new roommate mo?" tyson asked.

"yeah. pretty pumped to have someone to live with." morgan responded.

"i'm pretty pumped to have another dane on the team." freddie said focused on the tv.

"have you seen her highlights? they're insane." auston raved.

morgan pondered to himself. he said 'her'? he must've made a mistake.

"she'll drop the gloves on your ass too. it's scary from what i've seen." mitch said.

"wait what? she?" morgan said very confused.

everyone on that couch's eyes went onto morgan. the game was paused and everything.

"you didn't know!?" everyone yelled at once.

"no!" morgan shouted back.

"it has been everywhere morgan. how do you not know that we have the first woman in the nhl on our team?" mitch exclaimed.

"i didn't watch the draft. i was spending time with my family in vancouver and my phone has been broken for days." morgan said.

"but she's your roommate?" auston questioned.

"i volunteered before the draft even happened." morgan answered.

"why? what if it was someone you didn't wanna live with?"

"dude i'm lonely. ever since jake got married, i have had no one to live with, so i volunteered to house the rookie." morgan semi-whined.

"so you don't even know what she looks like?" freddie asked.

morgan shook his head.

"oh that's tough." freddie mumbled.

"yeah it is." auston said.
