you and alex never got along ever since alex pushed you into the mud when you were little.

yes, you knew alex since the time you were born because your moms were bestfriends.

they always tried to get you and alex to like each other so maybe you guys would fall in love, but all their plans ended up failing.

you came home to your hometown for the summer which meant spending time with the turcotte's a lot.

"mom i don't want to go up to the cabin." you begged.

"why not sweetheart?" she asked.

"because i don't want to be trapped in the middle of nowhere with alex."

your mom rolled her eyes and pointed you towards your room which meant you didn't have an option. you were going whether you liked it or not.

you dramatically packed your bag for the weekend and threw it into the car.

"this is not my ideal summer plans." you complained.

"oh shush y/n, we want to spend all the time with you we can." your dad piped in.

your mom nodded in agreement.

you sighed and put in your earbuds to listen to some music.

when you got up to the cabin, you were excited to see that the turcottes were not there yet.

"when are they supposed to come?" you asked your parents.

"a few hours. they had to work today."

you nodded at the response and smiled as you ran off to your room for some quiet before the storm.

you were down by the lake beach when you heard your name called, "y/n! come say hi!"

you hesitantly walked back up the house and said hi to everyone whole trying to avoid alex.

"hi y/n." he said like the tool he was and is.

"hi alex." you responded back before walking back into your room to change back into some clothes for dinner.

dinner was not as quiet as you wanted it to be, but you didn't expect it to be because everyone wanted to catch up with each other.

"i think alex likes you he keeps staring." alex's mom whispered in your ear, sounding way too excited.

you smiled and rolled your eyes at her.

after dinner, you went up to alex, "your mom thinks you like me. tell her she's wrong."

alex scoffed and walked away, "i'll make sure to tell her that."

you went to bed pretty early that night because you always pretty exhausted after long road trips.

the next morning you tried to get in the jack and jill bathroom you shared with alex and it was locked. you peeked into alex's room and saw he wasn't in there. you tried his door and it was locked as well.

you smirked and laughed as you saw the light was on in the bathroom.

"alex?" you knocked on the door.

"oh thank god i'm stuck in here." alex sighed.

you began to laugh loud and rolling around in your room. you pulled out your phone and began to record.

"this fool got stuck in the bathroom." you laughed.

"put your phone away and help me out of here." he groaned.

you laughed and shook your head, "i should just leave you in there but i'm nice so i won't."

"you're not that nice." alex mumbled.

"i heard that alex. i don't have to let you out of the bathroom." you smirked.

"no please, i've been in here since 2am."

you looked at the clock and saw that it was 8:30 which made you laughed even harder.

you went and got the key to let him out. you unlocked the door and saw that alex was laid out on the floor.

"you're free." you chuckled.

"i could kiss you right now." alex said and stood up, "fuck it, i will."

alex grabbed your face and kissed your lips.

"i hate that i didn't hate that." you whispered to him as you pulled apart.

"yeah me too." alex agreed, "let's try it again and see if something changes."
