I feel like you would know this already, but I'll say it anyway: Vader ultimately rejected the dark side. He turned on the Emperor for the sake of saving Luke. Light was stronger than darkness in the end. How does this match with your goal to "finish what he started?
Kylo: Darth Vader stood with the Emperor and helped build the Empire. Although he succumbed to such weakness as love, I strive to fulfill what he should have done: destroy any insurgent uprisings and bring peace and order to the failing galaxy.
