Urgent Needs (Mia's POV) Chapter 18.2

Remember the little girl who Derek and Tom had a bet on?

Well, I actually know her. Wanna know who she is?

Andrea.

"What are we supposed to be looking at?" Ariana asked.

"The houses, the dog, or the mailman?" Alliana finished.

"What?" I asked. Where's Luke?

"AVOCADO ALERT!" Alli screeched.

"Where?" The twins chorused. Just as boy-crazy as I was when I wasn't with Luke yet.

"Oh my gosh!" They said looking at me with widened eyes.

"I know right!" Alli giggled, "He's so cute!"

I dashed to the window to see what they're giggling about.

There he was!

"What's he doing here?" Ariana asked me.

"I have no idea." I replied, trying not to make eye contact with him.

"Why who is he?" Alli asked us. Oh, I forgot she doesn't know him.

"He's, uh-" I began, but got cut off by Cody.

"Yo Mia!" Cody said, waving at me and pointing at Daniel.

"Oh, I'll be right back." I told them, and dashed to Daniel.

"So what were you gonna tell me?" he asked me, as Cody left us alone.

I didn't answer him yet. How was I supposed to tell the boy I really loved that my boyfriend is here? How would he take it?

"Mia," Daniel said, quite firmly "What is it?"

I still didn't know what to say.

"Mia," Daniel said, "Tell me now."

I gulped. "Daniel, Luke is here."

His eyes widened, I thought he was gonna cry, or scream, or freak, faint, you know the rest. He'd do that in my imagination but... In real life....

He laughed.

"What the hell is funny?" I asked, maybe a little pissed.

"That's it?" he managed to choke out. "I thought you were gonna tell me something serious!"

"It is serious!" I told him, furious.

"Really?" he asked, sarcastically.

"Yes!" I said, with matching hand gestures. "He hates your guts!"

"Did he tell you that?" Daniel asked me.

"Well..." I said, with my voice shaking. "No...but..."

He chuckled and put his arm around me.

"Mia," he said, "I knew there would come a time when I'd get to meet your ex-boyfriend-"

"He's still my boyfriend." I corrected him, making him blush.

"Right. Sorry." he said, still blushing. "Well, I knew I'd have to meet him, sometime."

I rolled my eyes. This dude is so calm! What's wrong with him?

"What's happenin' here?" a female voice said from behind us.

Daniel turned around, still with his arm around me. But when we caught a glimpse of Sienna's less than amused face, he immediately removed it and scratched his head.

"Well," I said, "I was just telling Daniel my boyfriend's in town...."

"Oh really?" Sienna said, looking amused. "I wanna meet the lucky guy!"
