HARRY'S POV

"Wake up you idiot!" Louis yells from the hallway. "Today is the day of your date with the nerd!" He laughs and I hear his steps down the stairs.

Ugh, no. I groan and bury my head in the pillow. I don't want to wake up, I need to sleep.

After leave Lucinda at her house yesterday, Louis, Zayn and I decided to go out. The idea was to just have a few beers and we ended up with shots of tequila. I think I fucked a girl I met at the bar, though I can’t remember her face or her name. Anyway, it was good.

I squeeze my eyes as I stretch in bed. I yawn running my fingers through my hair. I grab a cigarette from my nightstand and head downstairs.

"Good morning!" Louis says to me when I walk into the kitchen.

"Whatever." I growled lighting the cigarette.

"What are you doing today for your date?"

"Harry has a date?" Liam asked, peeking into the kitchen surprised.

"....Yes." I roll my eyes.

"The deal was serious?" Payne asked frowning.

"Of course and you know it. There is a lot between this deal or bet, whatever." Louis said before taking a sip of his coffee.

"Exactly." I nod, exhaling the cigarette smoke.

"Where are you going to take her?" Liam asked sitting next to me.

"I don’t know."

"Take her to any place ... to a library or go study with her, that would be a good idea." Louis laughs.

"That's cruel Louis." Liam complains.

"I think you're right. The library is where she belongs." I roll my eyes.

"I think you shouldn’t do this ..." Liam said annoyed.

"Stop being such a pussy Liam, why not?" Louis snapped. "Oh please, she’s antisocial, totally a freak! Nobody will mind if we do something to her."

" Why her? It's so cruel what you guys are planning to do. I’ll be watching both of you ... I don't like this at all." Liam growled, leaving the kitchen.

"I'll fucking kill you if you screw this shit!"  Louis shouted. "Fuck!" Louis grabbed the cup and threw it to the ground.

The sound of glass shattering echoes in the house and then silence falls.

"Sometimes I hate Liam; he's a fucking pussy, always with his 'feelings' before everything." Louis grunted sitting back down.

"Shit. I don't want to go out with her but I will not lose all that money. I will take her to a library or something."

"So fun!" Louis said sarcastically. "Good luck with the nerd."

"I'm going to need it." I say before exhaling the cigarette smoke.

Louis chuckled. "I still can't believe that she sneezed on your face! She's so awkward and ugh I hate the way she dresses." He complained resting his legs on the table.

"I know I hate her clothes too." I answer with a smile.

LUCY’S POV

"Lucy!" My mother calls me from downstairs. "Lucy! I prepared spaghetti and Cassie is here!"

Oh, no. What is Cassie doing here? I sigh, closing the biology book and head downstairs.

"Hello!" Cassie smiles cheerfully. "I had to come, sorry ... and why aren't you ready yet?" She asks looking at my pajamas.

"There are still three hours Cassie, relax." I sigh and start walking towards the dining room.

"But normal girls take like 3 hours to get ready for a date!" Cassie says, following me into the dining room.

"Hey idiot." Madison said as we sat down.

"Um, hi.” I answered stirring my spaghetti.

"Today I decided to take the day off to be with you girls." My mother announced while she walks into the room and hands a plate to Cassie. "Sorry if the spaghetti is not good enough, I haven't cooked in a while."

"No way, I'm sure this is delicious." Cassie smiles and turns to me. "Your mother is planning to spend the day with you and Madison, you have to tell her about your date with Harry." She whispers in my ear. I gulp.

"You two, what are you talking about?" My mother asks curiously.

"Tell her." Cassie whispers pinching my leg and I gasped in pain.

"Ahm, I ..." I stutter, not knowing what to say.

"Tell me Lucy, what happened?" Lily looks at me attentively.

"What that means is that Lucy is going out today." Cassie answers for me.

Madison chokes on her Coca-cola. My mother tries to help her but Madison raises a hand to stop her.

"Really? And who is the lucky guy?” Lily asked, surprised.

She is as surprised as Madison and me.

"Um... with... Ha-Harry. He is going -"

"What!?" Madison almost screamed.

"Um..the one who brought you home yesterday?" Lily smiles.

"He brought you home last night?" Cassie and Madison wonder at the same time. Both look at each other with scorn and then focus their eyes on me again. My hands are sweating and my cheeks are burning with shame.

"Yes, that guy." I sigh nodding.

"No way…" Madison says through clenched teeth.

"Sounds good to me, he looks very nice and he likes The Beatles." Mom said before taking a sip of her Coca-cola.

“Why did he invite you?” Madison asks. “ It's so weird—”

"Why not?" Cassie spits back.

Madison opens her mouth to reply but she stops. I can already imagine her answer, would probably be something that could hurt me. Like the way I dress, my hair, or my glasses or how clumsy I am. It's always the same.

"What is going on between you two girls?" My mother asked, upset. She looked at Madison and then at me.

"Nothing Lily, I'm just surprised and very happy for Lucy." Madison smiles falsely to my mother.

I look at Cassie and her mouth is almost on the ground, she is surprised just like me for Madison's reaction.

"I lost my appetite, excuse me." Madison gets up and looks at me. "Fuck you nerd." She mouths before leaving the room.

"Well, more spaghetti for us." My mother said before burying her fork in the spaghetti.

I sigh and start eating. Right now I am very upset, not only for Madison, but also for my mother.

How can she be so blind? How is she unable to see that Madison hates me? My mother should be more attentive.

"Let me stay with you," Cassie begs, outlining a puppy face, when we finish our food. "I'll fix your hair, I'll choose your clothes, I will..."

"No." I cut her off. "Please, just this once ... let me do this alone."

"Okay." She accepts rolling her eyes. "If you need anything, call me." I nod and Cassie finally leaves.

I'm alone, I look at my wristwatch ... I have 2 hours. My hands are sweating; I'm not ready for this.

I climb the stairs and head to my room. So I need to relax and the only way to do that is to study a little and that is what I do. I read some parts from my biology book. When I can't concentrate anymore I close the book.

I look at myself in the bathroom mirror. What can I wear? Well, I will use the jeans I bought yesterday, a plaid shirt and a jacket...I think that is okay. I take a shower, I get ready and in 20 minutes I'm done. That was fast. How do some girls can take two or three hours for something that I do in 20 minutes?

I will never understand girls even though I am one.

"Lucy, Lucy!" I hear my mother scream from the first floor. "Harry is here!"

My heart stops. I'm not ready for this.

I get up and grab my bag. I run my fingers through my hair as I head towards my door. Going down stairs becomes a nightmare because suddenly my legs become jelly. Oh god.

In the doorway Harry is talking with my mother. She laughs and he nods. Why are they getting along so well? I thought my mom would start to judge him for his tattoos, his clothes or maybe because for his attitude. But no, I’m so wrong.

"Um...Hi." I say walking over to the door.

"Hello." Harry smiles slightly as he surrounds my shoulders with his arm. "Ready?" He said planting a kiss on my forehead.

Oh no, not in front of my mother.

She lets out a small chuckle. "So ... what is going on between you two?" She points out both and smiles, waiting for an answer.

"Nothing is going on,” I answer before Harry could open his mouth. "just Friends."

"Oh yeah...friends." She said, not believing what I just said.

"Okay mom bye." I roll my eyes as I walk quickly out of the house.

"Someone's in a bad mood today?" Harry jokes as we headed to his car.

"Um, no." I answer, closing the door. "What a-are we going to d-do?" I manage to ask.

Harry didn't answer me. The car slides through the streets and the only thing between us is silence.

"I feel kidnapped ... could you tell me where--?"

"To the library." He cut me off with an air of frustration.

"What? " I ask, not understanding.

"I can see you're very passionate about books ... so, isn’t this a good idea?" He asked with his eyes straight ahead.

"Oh ... you ... you're going to buy me a book?"

"Yes."

"This is so fun!" I exclaimed biting my lip to hide a smile.

"Totally fun ..." Harry smiled slightly.

******

"Hi Carl!"

"Hi Lucy ..." Carl looks at me surprised. Whenever I came here is always with Cassie so it's strange for him to see me with someone else, especially if it's a boy.

"What kind of books do you like?" Harry asked as we walked through the aisle.

"All kinds, as long as it's a good story."

"Pride and Prejudice?" He asks, raising an eyebrow.

"Ahm, yes." I answer embarrassed.

"The typical shit." He complains rolling his eyes.

"It's a good book, I like the plot, it's a love story and it's breathtaking." I answer immediately.

Harry just rolls his eyes and follows me through the corridors. I've chosen a horror book; I think it would be time for an action book. I need the current book, a best seller, some book that teenagers from today like.

"The Hunger Games?" Harry asked in surprise when I grab that book.

"It looks interesting."

"It is." He smiles shyly.

"Have you read it?" I asked surprised with my mouth almost fell on the floor.

"Yes," He shrugs. "I was curious; I just wanted to know why this book is a bestseller and is truly good. They are my favorites.”

Harry read?! And 3 books?!

I'm impressed, maybe I've underestimated him.

"You look like you've seen a ghost...Are you impressed because I read a book?" He frowns at me and I nod. "I can lend you those books, choose another."

I put the Hunger Games back in their place and I turn to look for another book.

"Have you read Perfume?"

"I've seen the movie." He replied, shrugging.

"Oh, okay ... I'll take this." I say shyly.

"Here's the money, I have to make a call." He said handing me a few bucks. After that he turns and walks in the opposite direction to mine.

"Who is the guy? Is that your boyfriend?" Carl asked, surprised, as I handed him the book.

"No, of course not" I answer quickly feeling my cheeks burn. I look out of the library and Harry is waiting for me, leaning on his car. He's on the phone and he is looking at his shoes. He looks so handsome.

"Oh, shit. I got excited for nothing, I thought he would be your boyfriend ... "

"I don’t date Carl." I shrug getting my book bag. We said goodbye and I go to the bookstore. Harry is in his car. He leans over and opens my door. "Where do we go now?" I asked curiously.

"Wait and you will see."

We reach our destination and I open my eyes. Seriously?! I love this ice-cream shop!

"I love the North Pole, this ice-cream shop is my favorite, I love ice cream." I smile at Harry excitedly. (A/N: The name for the ice-cream shop sucks, I'm so original ...*sarcasm*)

"Good." He said before getting out of the car.

I follow him into the shop, this is exciting! Marcel and I sometimes used to come here.

'What ice cream do--? "

"I want chocolate, with orange, vanilla, strawberry and chocolate sauce." I reply with a big smile.

"Wow! Calm down." He laughs and the sound is music to my ears. Harry buys our ice cream and we stand in line to order. "Most of the girls would deny ice cream, with the typical excuse that ice cream makes you fat."

"I know but ... I'm not like other girls." I apologize, shrugging.

"I can feel it."

Harry ordered our ice cream. I look at the ice cream in my hands with a huge grin. It's a beautiful work of art and is my favorite.

"Hey, nice ass Lucinda." Harry says behind me as we walk in search of a table.

The ice cream almost falls out of my hands.

"What?" I asked, blushing.

I sit and Harry sits next to me, his proximity overwhelming me. Silently I move my chair a little, trying to gain some distance.

"I just noticed the pants you're wearing ... nice ass." He winks at me.

I feel a pang in my stomach while a heat invades my body. I feel so...embarrassed. Nobody ever said anything about my ass before.

"You look like a tomato." Harry points my cheeks with his spoon.

"O-okay, that's enough." I whisper and he laughs.  I sigh and decide to taste my ice cream.

I must admit that so far everything has gone well; I never thought I would spend time with Harry Styles and actually have fun with him.

"Hey, nerd." I turn to Harry and his emerald eyes meet mine. "You got a little ice cream here." He stretches his hand and his thumb cleans some ice cream from the corner of my lips.

I freeze and can't breathe...again. Why is this always happening to me?

Harry gives me an attractive smile and leans toward me. Wait, what?! Not again!

Panic runs through my veins as his face is inches from mine. I must stop this, what do I do?!

I decide to do the only thing that comes to my mind, I stretch my arm as I mess the ice cream on Harry's nose.  He stops and he sits back to his chair frowning.

"Oops! Now you’re dirty too," I chuckle, nervously turning my eyes away from his. I swallow my ice cream in my silence and let out a sigh of relief.

I don’t want to kiss him, can’t he understand that?  I can already imagine all the germs that he keeps in his mouth and just ... ugh.

 Anyway… that was close.
