When me and Jimmy get home, we're both too tired to bother cooking.

"My hands are killing me," Jimmy whines. I laugh.

"Long half day tattooing, huh?" He nods.

"How's your ear?" I ask him, gently turning his head to take a look. It's slightly swollen but looking good otherwise.

"It's okay, sore but okay," he confirms, leaning into me gently and placing his hand on top of my stomach. He rests it there for a while as we watch TV until suddenly he sits up, gently but firmly pressing his hand down into my belly.

"What are you doing?" I ask but he shushes me. I stare at him confused until suddenly, I feel what he must be feeling. A kick.

"You feel it?!" I ask him, surprised. He nods, a huge grin spreading across his face. He's never felt her kick before, though I could feel it internally. It was never strong enough for him to feel from the outside. I laugh in shock.

"Oh my god, you can feel it!" I exclaim.

"Hello baby!" He says to my stomach excitedly.

"Ooh, she's stopped," I say. His grin falters.

"Awh man, but I felt it! I really did!" He laughs again, moving his hand from my stomach and placing it into mine.

"It's amazing, right? Kind of creepy but also amazing," I share his joy.

"Yeah, I just can't believe I can feel it now! I've been so excited for this moment," I nod.

"It's huge. It really is. Not long and she'll be here. I mean, still long, but not crazy long," I tell him. He nods.

"I was actually looking at a crib online yesterday," Jimmy says, sitting back beside me. The only baby thing we currently have is the one vest that Sam and Jack have given us so I'm surprised.

"Really? What one?" I ask. He goes on his phone and pulls up a photo of a gorgeous black wood crib which can be changed around for different stages of development ranging from a moses basket style for newborns all the way up to an open side crib for preschool age. I nod as I take a good look at it.

"I like it," I tell him. He nods excitedly.

"It looks really good, right? It would be perfect. It's £200 which is pretty decent for how long it lasts." He scrolls down showing me the price.

"I think we should get it," I tell him. He looks up.

"Like, now?" I nod.

"Sure, it's a little early but it would be better to start buying things now and spread the cost. It can go in the storage cupboard until nearer to the time when we can set it up but I guess now is a good time to start buying things. I just got paid a few days ago and you get paid next week, right? How much spare do we have?" I begin trying to work it out.

"Well I have £400 spare this month, I got my bonus from overtime..." Jimmy says after a moment of silent calculation.

"I should have about £200. So say we put that together and used about £350 for baby stuff and I'll use a little of mine for some more maternity bits I need, we can start getting what we need. What do you think?" He nods enthusiastically.

"Yeah, I think that's perfect," He agrees.

"Well... what do we need?" My mind suddenly goes blank. All I can think of is clothes and cribs.

"Let's make a list," he grabs his laptop off of the table and logs in. "We need a crib, we can get that once since we both like it. Clothes? We need different things though. Hats, bodysuits, outfits, socks, vests, mittens, everything like that. What else?" I sit and think for a moment.
