Amalya never thought that she would meet the love of her life when she accepted to follow her best friend for a year for her work. After winning hie first world championship, Max fell in a dark place mentally because of the critics from the media from his win. He meets a stranger that would eventually need his help and by helping her he found his light at the end of the tunnel. Neither of them would have never predicted that they would find security in each other. It all started with in a coffee shop. In contrast, Lorelei is outspoken and unafraid to voice her opinions on how society treats hybrids, emphasizing that they are still half-human. Financially, Lorelei relies on government assistance as she did not qualify for retirement benefits in the military. Simon plays a crucial role in ensuring her safety and maintaining her mental health. Meanwhile, Lorelei is determined to teach Simon that he is not an emotionless robot but rather, mostly human.

Hayden Mae Jackson has seizures and has a difficult day at school after she blacked out. She, of course, has a service dog to allert her when she is about to have a seizure.
