I'm woken up by Lily whacking me with a pillow.
"Get up, it's Hogsmeade day." She says and I just groan, not wanting to be awake. "Y/n, get up."
"No." I mumble tiredly.
"You need to get up, you've got a date with your boyfriend."
"Or I could just die and not have to leave my bed."
"You are ridiculous." Lily mumbles, walking away from my bed.
I sit up and stretch. "Yep, but you love me."
"I'm going to end up killing you eventually." She threatens.
"Do it sometime soon please." Marlene chimes in.
"Gee, thanks Marlene." I say sarcastically.
"You know I love you." She replies.
"Why must you guys always threaten to kill each other?" Alice asks.
"Alice, don't question it." Mary says. "You know if you question it you'll just get a stupid answer."
"Apparently Mary is the only person in here with brain cells." I say.
"I have brain cells." Marlene says offendedly.
"Marlene, I only say this because I love you," I say. "Stop lying to yourself."
"You're so mean." Marlene says. "I hate you."
"I hate you too." I respond.
"But didn't you literally just say you love me?" She asks.
"Shut up." I say. "I'm tired, I'm not going to make sense."
"You don't make sense even when you aren't tired." Alice says.
"Jokes on you, I'm always tired." I say.
"Well maybe you wouldn't be if you actually fell asleep at a decent time." Lily says.
"I would if I could." I say. "Oh no, that rhymes. I hate that. Someone kill me."
"With pleasure." Marlene says.
"I feel very afraid to share a room with someone so willing to kill me." I say, looking over at Marlene.
"Yes. Fear me."
"Marlene, shut up, you aren't scary." Alice says.
"Rude." Marlene mumbles.
Our weird conversation is cut short when we hear a knock on the door. Lily answers the door, her being the closest.
"I am here to kidnap my girlfriend." I hear Sirius say.
Lily sighs. "Y/n, the moron is here." She says to me.
"Rude." Sirius says, walking past Lily, into the room and coming over to me.
"Hey beautiful." He says to me, pressing a small kiss to my lips.
"Ew, no PDA in the bedroom." Mary says.
"The bedroom is exactly where the PDA is supposed to be." Marlene says. Lily throws a pillow at her.
I sigh. "Lets go before Marlene makes any more sex jokes."
Sirius chuckles. "Sure."
"Bye morons." I say to my friends as me and Sirius exit the room. "So, what have you got planned for today?"
"Well first, breakfast." He says.
"Oh really, I thought we were just going to starve." I say sarcastically.
"Hey, don't be sarcastic with me." Sirius says.
"Or what?"
"No hugs." He threatens.
"You wouldn't dare." I say. "That would be as awful for you as it would be for me."
"True." He says, wrapping his arm around my shoulders.
"So, other than breakfast, what do you have planned for today?" I ask. "And I swear to God if you say it's a surprise I'm going to kill you."
Sirius chuckles. "Fine, I was thinking we should just have a relaxed day in Hogsmeade. We could just go get some butterbeer and you can relax for once. You've really been studying too much, you need to chill."
"That sounds great." I say, leaning into him slightly, but not too much since we're still walking and I'd rather not trip.
**Time skip to when they're at Hogsmeade because I have no ideas and this chapter is taking way too long to write and I want to get it out tonight**
"So, how has your week been?" I ask Sirius as we sit at a table in the Three Broomsticks with a mug of butterbeer each.
"It's been okay, I've been missing you though."
"Well I'm very sorry for studying and caring about my education."
"Yeah, you should be sorry." Sirius jokes. "How has your week been, other than studying?"
"Its been fine, all I've really done is study. I have been missing your hugs though."
"Well maybe you should leave the library more often."
"I feel like you're upset that I've not been paying much attention to you lately." I say.
"I just miss you." He pouts.
"I know, I'm sorry." I apologise. "It's just, these tests are important."
"Yes, but so is your health, you shouldn't be overworking yourself."
"I'm fine." I say. He reaches across the table and takes my hand.
"No you aren't, take more breaks or I will have to make you."
"That would mean you'd have to entire the library."
"And that's a risk I'm willing to take if it means you'll relax."
I laugh lightly. "Fine, you win, I'll stop studying so much. Now can we stop talking about my awful studying habits."
"Fine," He says. "Now, answer me honestly, I've noticed Lily has been staring at James a lot, what's that about?"
"I-" Damn, I guess he's smart. But I cant betray Lily, even though he did find out on his own. "I cant say anything."
"So she likes him!" He exclaims.
"Shhh, I promised Lily I wouldn't say anything." I whisper.
"This is brilliant." He says excitedly.
"No, shut up, Lily is still figuring out how she feels and if you tell James, she will kill me."
"Well, I don't need to tell James, I could just make them get together."
"No, if it happens it happens, you don't need to meddle."
"But-"
"Sirius, no." I say. He sighs and rests his head on the table.
I reach over and gently run my hand through his hair. He hums quietly in response.
"You tired?" I ask amusedly.
"A little."
"What time did you go to bed last night?" I ask.
"It was the full moon," He mumbled. "I had to be there for Remus."
"I forgot that was last night. How is he?"
"He's fine," Sirius answers, sitting up again. "This morning he said that it wasn't too bad."
I nod my head. "Do you want to head back to school and have a nap?"
"That sounds amazing." He smiles.
We finish up our butterbeers before exiting the pub and heading back to Hogwarts.
We walk hand in hand through the halls to the common room. We then head up to his dorm and he pulls me down onto his bed.
"Let me go get changed into something comfier first." I say.
"Gimme a second, I have an idea." He says, standing up and walking over to his closet.
He walks back over and hands me a t-shirt and some pyjama bottoms.
"The bottoms are too small for me, but they'll probably still be big on you, and I know you don't care if the shirt is too big." He says and I smile.
"I'll be back in a minute." I say, taking the clothes into the bathroom and getting changed.
Sirius was right, the bottoms were too big for me, but I just folded up the legs a little bit and tied them as tightly as possible so they wouldn't fall down, and the shirt came down to my mid-thigh.
I exit the bathroom and see Sirius lying on his bed, already into some pyjamas. I lie down and cuddle up to him, he tightly wraps his arms around me.
"I love you." He mumbles tiredly.
"I love you too," I respond, running my hand through his hair. "Now get some sleep."
Sirius falls asleep almost instantly and I fall asleep not long after.
Only to wake up a while later to Sirius muttering something in his sleep as his grip on me tightens. It takes my brain a moment to process what's happening, but I realise its a nightmare.
"Sirius," I say, lightly shaking him awake. "Sirius, babe, wake up."
He wakes up and sits up quickly. I sit up too and gently place my hand on his back.
"Just breathe." I say softly. "It was just a nightmare."
He suddenly wraps his arms around my neck and cries into my shoulder.
"Hey, it's okay, I'm here." I say, comfortingly rubbing my hand on his back.
We sit like this for a while until Sirius stops crying.
"Do you want to talk about it?" I ask quietly.
"It was nothing, don't worry about it." He mumbles, still not lifting his head from my shoulder.
"There is no way you could make me stop worrying about it." I say. "Please talk to me."
He sighs and lifts his head from my shoulder.
"You- you died." He says. "And I know that I shouldn't be reacting this much because of something so small, but with a war going on outside I cant help but worry, especially because you're a muggleborn, you're who these people are targeting. I just worry that I wont always be around to protect you."
"Sirius-"
"I know what you're going to say, 'Sirius, you don't need to worry about me, I can take care of myself.'" He mocks my voice and I glare at him.
"Mock me again and I will punch you," I threaten and he smiles a little. "But that's not what I was going to say. I was going to say that I'm worried too, I don't know what I'd do if I lost you. But you don't need to worry, because I know that you'll always be there to save me."
"But what if I'm not?" He asks. "What if I'm busy or something and then you end up getting hurt?"
"We don't need to worry about that right now," I say." We still have months left here, where we are safe."
"We cant stay here forever." He mutters.
"I know, but when we do leave we'll be prepared." I say. "I've been learning a bunch of protection spells. Everything will be fine."
"You don't know that." He mumbles.
"You're right, I don't. But I believe everything will be fine as long as we're together."
"Ah yes, relationships, the Deatheaters one weakness." He says sarcastically.
"Sirius-"
"I know, I'm sorry, sarcasm isn't helping."
I lean my head on his shoulder.
"I love you." I say softly.
"I love you more."
"Not possible." I mumble.
Sirius moves to wrap his arms around my waist and I slowly fall back onto the bed so we're laying down with him resting his head on my chest.
"Wanna go back to sleep?" I ask and he nods in response. "Okay, goodnight."
He once again falls asleep quickly but I stay up, worried that he'll have another nightmare. I preoccupy myself with running my hands through his hair as he sleeps peacefully.
I don't move until I hear the door open. I lift my head to see James enter the room.
"Oh, hey Y/n." He says.
"Hi." I say quietly.
"Is he alright?" James asks, motioning to Sirius.
"Yeah, he's fine, I think. He had a nightmare."
He comes and sits down beside me.
"I'm glad he has you." He says. "But I swear if you hurt my best friend I will kill you."
"You know I wont." I say. "By the way, aren't you supposed to be doing prefect rounds in five minutes."
"Shit, Lily is going to kill me." He mumbles, standing up and quickly heading out the room.
I chuckle lightly before looking down at my sleeping boyfriend. He looks so peaceful.
I decide to go back to sleep, I'm not even that tired I'm just bred, and I cant move so I guess sleep is the best option.
I press a small kiss to the top of Sirius's head before falling asleep.
Holy fuck that took way too long to write, sorry, life's just been stressful lately and my mental health just fucking died. So yayyyyy, life. Its great.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this chapter, it was just a stupid, cute chapter, I hope its good(Idk, I'm too tired to proofread it)
Also, next update might take a while, I literally have 4 upcoming tests in school that I probably should study for. Fun.
