It's been almost 7 years since I broke up with Dean but almost a two weeks since the last time I saw him on a hunt. It was the first time we met after 7 years and I froze when I saw him. I wanted to run to him, jump on him and hug him with all my strength. But the memories hold me back from doing all that and I remembered why I didn't want to see him ever again.
He was there with Sam, while I was there with Kathryn, my best friend. Kathryn and I have been hunting together for the last 5 years and we are like sisters. But she doesn't know about my past with Dean and I would like it to stay that way.
Unfortunately, that night, we had to work together in order to solve the case and not to let Katherine think that something is wrong. I mean who wouldn't agree on working a case with the Winchesters. The only thing I'm grateful of is that Dean noticed from really early that I wasn't comfortable with this so he kept his distance and didn't put me into any difficult situation.
Today, Kathryn and I closed our latest case and headed to a local bar to celebrate the new record we just hit. 12 vampires in one night. "New record on bloodsuckers, ding ding" I say raising my glass. She does too "Next challenge, werewolves" she says "It's on" I say and we drink on that. "Now, I wanna tell you something" she says "I'm listening" I say "I met someone that I'm really attracted to and we had our first date after our previous case. I'm sorry I didn't tell you but I thought that I should try it first and then tell you about him" she says "That's great and ok, I get it" I say excited "And from the fact that you are telling me this now I'm guessing it went good" I continue.
"Yes. It went great actually" she says even more excited "He must be the best guy out there. I mean he is handsome and a great hunter" she continues "Ok love bird. Who is he?" I ask "It's Dean Winchester, from our last case" she says and I freeze. The smile from my face disappears. "Oh, wow. That's... That's great. I'm so happy for you" I say forcing another smile on my face. I couldn't hurt her. Hunting is her life and passion and it's the first time she is so happy about someone.
"I'm so glad you are. He is actually on his way here now. I told him to meet me here because he was working a case a few towns away. I hope you don't mind" she says and I almost choke on my drink. "Hey, are you ok?" she asks "Yes, yes. I would love to see him again but I just remembered that I have to do something. I'll be at our motel room. I'm sorry" I say "Ok" she says and I leave as fast as I could.
But I wasn't fast enough. I fell on the one single person I wanted to avoid as soon as I exited the bar. "Sorry, my fault" he says and I nod looking down. I couldn't look at his face. "She's waiting for you" I say and I start to walk away but he grabs my arm. "Wait--" he says but I stop him "No, stop. I'm sorry but I can't do this" I say and I run to my car. I get in and I drive back in the motel as fast as I could.
I get in the room and I lock the door behind me. I take a deep breath and I sit on the bed. "She's your best friend" I whisper to myself "She's the best and she deserves everything in the world. She should have whatever makes her happy. Even if that something is... him. I'm fine with it" I continue and I take another deep breath "I'm fine with it as long as she's happy. I'm fine with it" I say and I lay back on the bed.

Nine months later, these two were still together and I was fine with it as soon as Kathryn was fine. They worked cases together and spent time together and I was fine with it. But she still doesn't know about my past with Dean. I feel awful lying to her and I tried to tell her but I couldn't do it and I know that the more I delay it the worst is going to be when she founds out that both Dean and I hide it from her.
"(Y/N)!" Kathryn yells and I snap out of my thoughts "What?" I ask "I need to tell you something" she says and sits next to me "I'm listening" I say. She takes a deep breath "Do you think that Dean wants a normal life?" she asks me. ME. "I don't know" I say "Do you?" I ask her "No, I don't. You know me, hunting is my life. I don't want a normal happy life" she says "Well, you can ask him" I say and she nods. "I will meet him in a few minutes. I should actually be on my way there" she says and gets up "See you later" she says "See you" I say and she leaves. Gosh, she will find out sooner or later and it's going to be bad.

Around midnight Kathryn came back pissed. "What happened?" I ask terrified of the possibility that Dean might have told her. "He... He said that he would love to have an apple pie life someday" she says pissed. "Ok, ok. How about you take a shower, calm down and I bring food?" I ask "Thank you" she says and hugs me. "I'll be back soon" I say and I leave.
But on my way back, I met Dean. So I did what I'm doing all the time he is around. I ignored him and kept walking. "(Y/N), she is pregnant" he says and I freeze. "Excuse me?" I ask "Kathryn is pregnant but she wants to have an abortion" he says "And you don't?" I ask surprised "I don't know" he says burying his face in his hands.
"What should I do?" he asks me. "You're really asking me?" I ask "Yes, please. You always have the right thing to say" he says. I take a deep breath and I look back at him "Let her have an abortion and support her. Make her at least think that you agree" "What?" he asks surprised "Are you saying that because you don't--" "NO. Of course not and the fact that you even thought that I would... You still think that I'm a selfish bitch, don't you? That's what you called me, right?" I ask pissed "(Y/N), can you just focus on my problem here? We are not talking about us now" he says.
We sit on a bench "You know what will happen to her if she has a kid that she doesn't want? It will almost kill her. Trying to love a kid as much as she loves hunting will almost kill her and it will almost kill your kid. Do you know what it's like to be raised by someone that does want you? Because I do. To know that you stood in the way of your mother's career? I do because I was raised by a Kathryn. My mother was a Kathryn. And as the child that she doesn't want I'm telling you, don't do this to her, because she is kind and she cares and she won't make it. The guilt of resenting her own child will eat her alive. And I'm not just saying because I don't want you and her to be happy. I do, I really do because she deserves it. She deserves a life. She deserves everything" I say and I get up.
But he takes my hand and pulls me down. "Can you stay? Just for a few minutes" he says. I look at him and it's obvious that he is not ok. I nod and I sit back down. "What do you need?" I ask holding his hand. "I've got an extra cheeseburger. It's not pie but it'll work" I say pulling out a cheeseburger from the bag. He chuckles and takes it "Thanks" he says unwrapping it.
"Everytime I eat burgers, I remember your homemade ones that were the best" he says "The truth is that I haven't made them in a long time" I say "And also your pies. God, I miss those" he says "So you miss my cooking, I got that" I say "Sorry, I didn't want it to sound like that. I wanted to say that I missed y--" he says but I interrupt him.
"No, stop. I don't think you get that I gave my heart to a lying jerk, who was unaware of his behaviour towards me, who disrespected me in every term. And now it is this reformed still handsome man that wants to just remember about the good old times? And it makes me so mad that I still love you but, I'm sorry, I can't only remember the good moments" I say and leave fighting not to cry.
He rushes to me and turns me to him. "But I can" he says and crashes his lips onto mines. I didn't want to give in because he is still with Kathryn. But that feeling of his lips against mines again after so long took over quickly. I kiss him back and he smiles against my lips which caused me to chuckle in the kiss. His hands travel down my body and on my lower waist. He lowers himself and I remembered exactly what that meant. Without even thinking, I jump on him and he catches me. I wrap my legs around his waist and he carries me to the car.
He hits my back against the door of the Impala without taking his lips off of mines. I undo bra under my t-shirt and I throw it on the ground. His hands immediately moved to my breasts under the t-shirt and I moan in the kiss. His lips travel down my neck and suck at the exact right spot. I reach back and I open the door of the car. He lays me on the backseat and follows in on top of me. We both take our t-shirts off and we look at eachother for a second. We were both aout of breath but that didn't bother us from keeping the eye contact. "I love you" he says "I love you" I say and he attacks my lips again.

I was laying on his chest and he was playing with my hair. "What are we going to do now?" I ask "I have no idea" he says "Awesome" I say letting out a desperate breath. "I'm sorry" he says "I'm sorry for everything I've done to you back then. I had to grow up to realize that I was a jerk to you and it was already too late. I'm sorry" he continues. "I know" I say and I kiss softly his chest. I draw random patterns on his chest with my finger and he keeps playing with my hair.
"I want to give you one more chance" I say and I sit up "But we are not alone. Kathryn is pregnant and we..." I say "I know things are complicated but we'll figure it out" he says cupping my cheek. I smile and I peck his lips. "I have to go" I say "Are you going to tell her?" he asks "I want to" I say "I'm coming too" he says and I nod.
We return to the motel but Kathryn was nowhere to be found. There was a note left on my bed.
Hi (Y/N), it's Kathryn. I'm sorry but I had to leave. You and Dean are a far better much. I know that the two of you had past together and I'm grateful to you that you did everything you could to keep me happy but I would really appreciate the truth. I can't give him the life that he wants but you can. Anyways, I took off. Of course, I'm not going to stop hunting but I'll do it alone from now on. It's not your fault, don't worry. I'm not mad at you. I'm here if you need anything and I hope we meet some day again. Also say to Dean that I'm having an appointment at 5pm tomorrow for the abortion. He can come if he wants to.

"She left" I whisper "What?" Dean asks "She left" I say louder and he takes the note from my hands. "Ok... That's easier than I thought" he says "Is it ok if I go tomorrow?" he asks "Of course you can" I say and he nods. "Hey..." he says and hugs me "... this is it. This is our second chance. Everything is going to be fine this time. I promise" he says and I nod. "I love you" I say "I love you too" he says rubbing my back.
