The Darkness
Peeling Declan's hands from her body was more difficult than she thought it would be. A part of her didn't want this simple connection to end and wanted to linger with his hand pressed against her for a little longer. But the need to feel him, to taste him overwhelmed her.
She shifted in his lap, turning to straddle his hips.
"If you only knew of the things I would do to you." Declan's stared up at her, almost as breathless as she was.
His cock pressed against her. Her hand rested over its thickness and she could only imagine how it would feel inside of her.
Eden couldn't hold back from kissing him, softly at first, then with a fevered intensity that only fueled the burning hunger inside her. A spark ignited.
Declan couldn't seem to hold her close enough, couldn't pin her heated crotch against his cock hard enough to please her. Her hips moved against him, but their clothing denied them their much-deserved pleasure. She wanted it all off.
When they parted, his breathing heavy and ragged against her eager lips. His hands continued to roam over her hips and thighs, digging his fingers into her flesh. It was painfully delicious.
Her fingers grazed his belt buckle. She toyed with the idea of pulling it free but settled on sliding her hands up between them and whispered what she was dying to know.
"Tell me what you'd do to me." Her lips connected with his again, moaning sweetly against his mouth. "Tell me everything. Make it a reality." She begged.
Declan grabbed her wrists, stopping her from moving any further. His lips curled up into that shark-like grin and his glare turned cold and distant. The sudden aggression startled Eden and chilled her to the core. And with that, their intimate moment ended.
The music stopped.
They were left staring at each other in perfect silence, save for their labored breathing. Eden knew he wanted to say something, but he held back.
There was a click overhead. Then the same automated voice filled the silence.

A shadow crossed Declan's features.
No! Come back to me. Eden tried to kiss him again, hoping that would bring him back but was met with a hardened stare. She didn't dare try again.
Instead, she was left frowning on his lap, mere inches from his face, from the lips she so desperately craved to kiss her. The only thing separating them was Eden's wrists clenched in his hands.
His erection died beneath her and with it went her pride. She was left wondering what she'd done to ruin their moment. Perhaps Declan was one of those men who felt emasculated by a woman making the first move. Heat flooded her cheeks.
"I've changed my mind." He broke the silence. "I'd like for you to get Diamond."
"What?" She asked.
Eden let out a yelp of surprise and balled her fingers into tight fists when he pulled her down onto the couch in one rough movement. He knelt between her parted legs, his body pressing her into the cushions and glared at her.
There was no emotion in his eye, it was like he didn't even see her.
"Did my kiss offend you?" Her voice wavered, exposing her hurt feelings.
"Your kiss isn't offensive to me." Declan's eyes drifted toward Eden's parted mouth as though he was watching her breathe. "It's quite the opposite actually." He mumbled.
"I-I don't understand."
"This isn't going to work, Eden. Go fetch Diamond. She offered me her body before I talked to Harvey about yours."
Eden stared up at him, more than confused. "If my kiss isn't the issue then what is it?"
"I merely think Diamond is better suited for my needs." He released Eden's wrists and rubbed his hands over his thighs as though they were dirty from touching her. "My apologies for wasting your time, Ms. Burrows."
The way he addressed her so formally hurt.
Eden didn't ask him any further questions. The fact that he was casting her aside like a piece of worthless trash was a good enough reason to leave.
There was no point in trying to talk some sense into him. Declan's mind was made up and, like Harvey had told her, she was to provide Declan with whatever he wanted. If he wished to have Diamond instead of herself then Diamond he would get. Cased closed.
Out of the corner of her eye, she caught him fixing his rolled-up sleeves, ignoring her as she slipped her heels back onto her feet. She cleared her throat, trying to hold the tears at bay. The emotion welling up inside of her was too much to bare.
"I'll go inform Diamond of your request, Mr. Payne." Eden exited the room without so much as a glance back.
The moment she entered the hallway and closed the door behind her, Eden allowed herself a small moment to fall apart.
What's wrong with him! She wiped at a damp cheek with the back of her hand and stifled a sob. Never had she ever experienced this sort of humiliating blow to her ego.
Men threw themselves at Eden. They begged for dances she never gave and offered her money and jewelry for dates she would never go on. Never once did they throw her away like some whore they didn't give a shit about.
Men desired her.
They wanted her.
Until Declan Payne entered her world.
Eden wanted to hit something or better yet, someone and make them feel the pain that was raging through her body. How dare he do this. To me of all people!
Her cheeks burned with humiliation as she stood in the hallway alone, crying like a little bitch, as her father used to say. You better toughen up or the world will eat you alive. He'd tell her when he caught her crying and so she learned to hide her feelings.
Eden pushed those memories away, refusing to open that floodgate, and stormed down the hallway. She had to go inform Diamond of his request.
When she entered the check-in area, Kelsey's head popped up from her magazine. Her over inflated duck lips parted in a triumphant grin.
"Couldn't handle the heat after all, huh?" Her eyes dropped toward Eden's wet bottoms. "So, is that piss or did someone pop her first private cherry?"
Eden flipped Kelsey off. "Fuck off, cum scrubber."
"You ain't top bitch back here, Sweetie." Kelsey called after her. "You best mind yourself girl."
Eden forced her legs to keep moving, if she didn't, she was afraid she'd turn around and Hulk smash Kelsey's face into the ground.
