"Mornin' my beautiful girls," Sam says as Marley and Riley walk into the kitchen.
"Daddy!" Riley says with delight running towards her father who picks her up in his arms.
"Hello wonderful child of mine," He says. "How about we get you some breakfast?" He asks walking towards the table.
"Bruberry Pancakes!" Riley says energetically as Sam puts her down in a chair.
"You little mind reader," He says a smile on his face. "How did you know that's what I made?" Riley just shrugs innocently as Sam places a plate in front of her, before walking over to the counter. "Here's your morning coffee," He says handing Marley a mug.
"You know me so well," She replies taking the mug out of her husbands hands. She follows him towards the table sitting down to eat her own breakfast. "Hey, Buck asked me to meet him for lunch if that's ok with you?" She says looking at Sam. Riley perks up at Bucky's name.
"I don't see why not," Sam says with a shrug. "Me and Rye can manage on our own for an afternoon can't we?" He says looking towards his daughter. Riley nods her head fast agreeing with her father like she does so often.
"You sure?" Marley asks raising an eyebrow. "You're going to have to feed her lunch, by yourself," She says before turning her attention towards Riley who was using her powers to pick up her fork. "What do we say about powers at the table?" Riley slowly puts the fork back down picking it up with her hand. "Thank you,"
"First of all," Sam says giving Marley a look. "That was years ago, I am fully capable of feeding our child,"
"Sam that was last week," Marley says looking at her husband, she remembers it clear as day.
It was a day like any other besides the fact the Riley was being weirdly difficult. Sam was busy in the kitchen trying to get Riley to sit down and eat, while Marley was finishing up a mission report. She hears Sam groan from the kitchen and gets up to see what was going on. When she walks into the kitchen she sees a disaster area, mush like the one she saw when babysitting Morgan with Steve all those years ago. Food was on the walls, most likely from Riley using her powers. Riley was currently on the opposite side of the room as Sam who was holding a bowl and a spoon .
"Come on Rye just eat the pasta," Sam pleads with the little girl holding the bowl out in front of him.
"No," Riley says back just not having it. Sam starts to move towards Riley who takes off in a run around the kitchen. Sam chases the girl eventually setting the dish down on the table to prevent him from dropping it. cautiously Riley uses her powers to spill her cup of juice onto the floor, the puddle being in a spot not visible unless you were standing at the right angle. Marley watches as Riley jumps of the puddle knowing it was there. Sam on the other hand steps right in it slipping and falling onto his butt. His hand smacks the edge of a plate of discarded food on his voyage to the floor sending the food flying right onto his face. Marley starts laughing despite trying to hold it in, Riley joins in her giggles being heard from the other side of the room. Marley bends down slightly opening her arms for the little girl. Riley comes running right into Marley's arms, she picks up the bowl of pasta and spoon before exiting the room Riley in her arms. Marley comes back a minute later, Sam was still sitting on the floor where he fell.
"Come to help clean up did you?" Sam asks looking up at his wife. She just smiles at him lifting her phone up to snap a picture before walking away silently. The next day Sam woke up to his picture hanging on the wall next to one of Steve, both men were sitting in almost the exact same position, both covered in food with a messy kitchen behind them. He scoffed at it before walking away, but he did not dare to take it down off the wall.
"That was not last week," Sam says focusing back onto his food.
"The time stamp on the photo, that is hanging in the kitchen says differently," Marley says with a shrug.
"You think your funny," Sam says narrowing his eye.
"I am hilarious," Marley replies standing up and taking her and Riley's plates into the kitchen.
"Where ya going sticky fingers?" Sam says to Riley following behind Marley a second later. "Come on up you go, wash your hands," He says once Riley runs into the room. "was there a specific reason Buck wanted to meet you for lunch?"
"My best guess would be something to do with Sarah," Marley says helping Riley retrieve the towel.
"Why doesn't he talk to me about this stuff?" Sam asks putting the breakfast dishes in the dishwasher. "I mean she is my sister,"
"One, we're married so legally she's my sister too, two you are not a girl, three you kind of oblivious when it comes to feelings and stuff,"
"i am not oblivious, i realized my feeling for you didn't I?"
"Yeah, but after how many years?"
"it took you just as long,"
"Touche," Marley replies with a smile before walking out of the room.

"So while this catch-up has been amazing, I need to know, what's the problem," Marley asks Bucky setting down her drink.
"Problem? Who said there was a problem?"
"Barnes, just because I married Sam doesn't make me and idiot,"
"it kind of does," Bucky mumbles causing Marley to glare at him. "I didn't say anything," he says raising his hands in defense.
"I can read your thoughts," she replies. "Now spill it,"
"Ok... I might be having some girl problems,"Bucky says looking down at his feet. "I have this really important question to asks but I don't know how to do it," Marley's jaw drops at his words, immediately getting excited.
"Are you proposing?"
"Proposing? What no, she's not even my girlfriend," Marley stops mid reach for her drink. Slowly she looks back up at Bucky.
"She's not your girlfriend yet?" Bucky silently shakes his head. "You've been going on dates for the past two years. What have you been doing?"
"Going on dates?" Bucky says cautiously. Marley uses her powers to smack him upside the head being to lazy to stand up and do it herself.
"No shit Sherlock," Marley says as her pone buzzes, she flips it over to see a message from Sam.
Birdbrain~ How would you feel about rainbow colored animals?
Marley closes her eyes before letting out a quiet chuckle. "God I love him," she says quietly before looking back at Bucky. "I've got to go, or else i'm going to be coming home to Rainbow colored animals. But I will help you come up with a plan to ask the question that should have already been asked,"
"Thank you," Bucky says with a smile. They both get up, Bucky insisted on paying for the meal, damn gentlemen.
"You boy's are going to be the death of me," Marley complains as she gives Bucky a hug.
"You love us though," He replies after Marley pulled away and started walking towards the car.
"Sure I do," Marley replies her voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Oh come on, it's impossible not to," He says starting to walk after her. Marley's only response was the middle finger over her shoulder causing Bucky to let out a laugh.
"Hey you're gonna come to New York in a couple months for my birthday right?" Marley says before the duo parts to go to their cars.
"Of course, I wouldn't miss it,"
"Try to bring your girlfriend, she doesn't seem to like the idea of going out there. I mean I get it, y'all can be a handful, but I think you just might be able to change her mind," Marley turns away walking towards her car.
"You're assuming she's going to say yes," Bucky shouts after her.
"I've said it once, I'll say it again. I can read minds Barnes,"
A/N: here is a longer one for y'all tonight, I realized, that I haven't done anything close to a Halloween chapter in this entire book... wow.... definitely will be doing that in the future. Now that I think about it I don't think I've done a Christmas one either.
Any way, off to start writing another chapter, I'll tell you the weekend does not last long enough... I'm exhausted, and I have to go to school tomorrow... yikes...
