"Welcome home, Katsuki— and Eijiro..?" Masaru was reading a home fashion magazine on his couch before the front door of the house was opened by his son.

He placed the publication down onto the dark wooden coffee table then checked his hand watch for the time. "What are you doing here, at this hour?"

Bakugo wasn't speaking to his father. He figured out he could contact his best friend through text, from then on he decided that was going to be his main source of communication with others unless he wanted to scare his parents with his newfound honesty.

Kirishima asked the big question instead of his friend, "Hi Bakugo's dad! I know it's kind of late and this is short notice and all, but would it be okay if I sleep over? We have exams coming up— Bakugo and I wanted to stay up to study!"

"I don't particularly mind, but...Katsuki, your mom is asleep and I wouldn't want you two to disturb her if you're going to be awake all night."

"We won't! We'll be quiet, Mr. Bakugo!" Eijiro was pushing Katsuki to the staircase so they could get to his room, but Masaru stopped them.

"Wait there, young man!" He was determined to give his son a small punishment for ruining his mother's rose bushes the other day. He hadn't been able to give him 'the talk' since Katsuki was always ignoring his attempts. Yet, Masaru wanted to feel like he had control over the teenager. "You have to wash all the dishes, first!"

'It can't be helped...I'll have to speak...' The blond guy gave a small glare at his dad; trying to intimidate him before he opened his mouth. "I'll wash them."

Masaru was left a little shocked from his response. "You said you will??"

"I'll do it, just let Kirishima spend the night."

"Oh...Alright..." His father wasn't sure what to do, there had never been a time where Katsuki would do chores without putting up a fight, first. He scratched the back of his head, thinking if there was a chance he could ask for more without pushing it. "Then, can you also take out the trash?"

"I'll do that too, but nothing else, old man."

Kirishima helped his friend by putting the dishes away and placing new bags on the trash cans around the two story house.

Once they were inside his bedroom, Katsuki made sure to lock his door and signaled to his friend to be quiet. "If my mom wakes up, she'll kill us."

"Right." Eijiro was still trying to get used to his friend's new way of speaking. There hasn't been a day where he wouldn't insult somebody, him included. "Bakugo, I was thinking...If you don't remember bumping into a person then it could be some type of curse in the air that you inhaled—"

"That doesn't sound real." The blond dismissed his idea while he laid down a floor mattress for Kirishima to sleep on. "Stop thinking out of the box, I'm sure this wasn't an accident."

"Then, do you really think this was intentional? Somebody has it out on you, Bakugo, so they cursed you...?"

"Can you stop calling it a 'curse', already?" Katsuki was starting to feel annoyed that their conversation was heading nowhere.
