"THATS MY BUSINESS"

Alice begged for it not to be true.
James was after her, just like everyone else was.

Tears trickled down her pale face, her heart aching.
She thought James was on her side, but he wasn't, he never was.

If he hadn't known Rue before all the madness started, James wouldn't have taken a liking to her.
He liked Alice because he reminded her of Rue.

In frustration, Alice tore the note into tiny pieces and threw them in the fire, trying her hardest not to punch a wall in anger.

She watched as the pieces of paper caught fire and burn up in flames.

She was closer to finding out what the mark meant.
The one is to be betrayed.

Maybe it was James.
Maybe it was Draco.
It could even be the man on the moon.

She brought her knees tight to her chest, her heart thumping in her ears.
She could feel eyes watching her, but she didn't dare look at anything else but the floor.

She thought this year would be good.
She thought that she could stay with the Weasleys, or maybe Rue.
She heard that Rue had made it out safely, and she wanted to see her, but she didn't know where to look.

She let out a cry of annoyance, stuffing a fist in her mouth to dampen the sound.
But still, the trio heard her, and came rushing down.
They weren't expected what came next.

"Alice, Alice what's wrong?" asked Hermione urgently, sitting down beside her.

"He wants to take me away" she sobbed. "Don't let him do it, don't let him take me away!"

Hermione pulled her close, hugging her tight.
Alice was always a mystery to them, never had they fully understood her, but tonight might change that.

"It's alright Alice" she said quietly.

"Don't let him take me" she said over and over again.
She knew that from that letter, James had changed.
He didn't want to save her anymore, he was turning into his father.
He only wanted her back, so they could benefit. "Please"

Hermione let her go, looking at the other two for some support.
Ron shrugged, but Harry gave it a go.

"Alice, I think it's time you told us"

"He wants to bring me back"

"Back where?"

Alice didn't answer straight away.
Her mouth was dry and she felt like she had no voice.
But she had to tell them, she could trust them.
